Back to $0,35? September started with this prices. What's changed?

Firn

I still got 0.38$ sales till September 15th, only after that I got 0.35$ sales only. I guess Dreamstime ended the additional 10% royality program for contributors. It was bound to happen at some point.

Yes, that's probably the reason. But the ending date of this program was never claimed. Did they just stop with no notification?

Well, thanks DT for that anyway. It was a good move.

Makes me wonder how much that extra 3 cents (US) cut into DT's profits. Would have been a gracious move on their part to let contributors keep the increased royalty. Permanently.

I had some 38 cent purchases in September - I think it's the date the buyer purchased their subscription that counts, not when the image is actually downloaded.

DT's page on their charitable programs says the Covid uplift for contributors ran through the end of August 2021

I've had several this month at 38 cents, too.

Still, it's kinda hard to think of us contributors as some sort of "charitable program", isn't it?

For Real

I remember the $.38 subs from SS those were the golden days our lives... 8)

Why we are back at 0.35:

"Good imagery is decisive for delivering images with impact and for this reason, we are handing out free subscriptions to non-profit organizations in need of visuals during the Covid-19 pandemic"

For Real

someday we will look back at $.35 per image as the good old days  :-\

The bump in price was to help contributors through Covid, I guess Covid is officially over?

no, but it was nice while it lasted (the .38, not Covid). I don't see SS going back to .38 any time soon though.

No, Covid is not over.

Dreamstime is now handing out free subscriptions to non-profit organizations
as Covid relief and they do have to cover the lost $$ somehow. This is why contributors now are paid less.
