After 7 or 8 months of trying to get approved at Shutterstock it finally happened.
Yesterday I had about 5 minutes and sent Shutterstock 10 photos I had with no other fine tuning thinking I would be rejected again and in a matter of a few hours I get a notice back that ALL 10 PHOTOS have been approved 

So either they felt sorry for me and finally let me in or I got lucky and had a newbie checking pictures.

   sounds like SS is using Pavlov's bell theory.
Brain wash us into begging. Then once we get accepted, we will celebrate with whatever crumbs they throw us from the table.

That's why they're still Numer 1. With so many beggars with their palms open, how can you lose

SS's method for approving photos leaves a LOT to be desired.

I uploaded my 10 best sellers from other sites and all 10 were rejected, most as not good enough for stock.

Somehow, nobody told the people who bought them elsewhere that they were no good.

Although I see SS as one of the top sites, I'm pretty much giving up on them until they start making sense.

My advice: Don't give up! You will get accepted for sure, and after it you will fall in love with SS. I got accepted third time, and I know few people who were accepted 7th time
