I just noticed that on the checklist for submitting Editorial photos, one of the items says something like "no trademark, logos etc.". However for editorial, isn't this allowed?

Yep, it's kind of silly. Regardless, I agree to all of the above in the checklist with my editorial photos and there are no issues.
