I recently discovered that my entire video portfolio is for sale on Creative Market, with each video priced between $12 (personal) and $21 (commercial). Additionally, there is a 25% discount for members.

These videos are being licensed by Shutterstock, of course !!!

How are sales, how is income?

@SpaceStockFootage - Are you being sarcastic? I find this situation really frustrating. It's painful to see my creations being sold for so little!
@stoker2014 - I don't have control over the sales; everything is managed by Shutterstock. What I do know is that this month has been the worst revenue month for Shutterstock in 13 years!

I know some authors sell videos on Creative Market. It would be interesting to hear about their experience.

I still want to congrat you because $12 per clip is much better than $0.25 per clip.

Most of my sales are "Clip Pack" which pays $0.25 to me. They include northern light time lapse clips. My Pond5 clips are rarely sold these days after SS took over.

As a result, I rarely upload to SS.

The price of my footage on Creative Market is $12. Since the videos are licensed through Shutterstock, my typical share would be 30% of that amount. However, I'm unsure how much Creative Market deducts from the sale, which likely contributes to the frequent $1 sales we see. I suspect this pricing structure is also a factor in the increasing piracy issues on Shutterstock lately.

Not so much sarcastic per se, I was more highlighting the fact that you hadn't really expressed any positive or negative opinion on what was happening either way. So I chose to go the 'glass half full' route, and respond as if you felt this was excellent news.

Oh I see now... I didn't express any negative opinions, cause i thought this was kind of obvious. I guess I was obviously wrong.
