Mission... impossible?

I finally was invited to participate in "missions."  I read all your discussions about it and was kinda sad not to be part of the club.  I may never be able to be paid next to nothing for 1000s of photos of bananas.  Now that I'm included though, wondering if its worth it?  I have the opportunity to photo people and an empty space for $1 for the pair of photos.

Are you all participating? How long is the review process?  Is it one mission per quarter or more/less?

They use those "missions" to feed firefly, adobe's Ai. And review actually goes pretty fast.

If you ask about is it worthy ? Well....true answer to that is do you have a time to create large batches of technically bad photos that you wouldn't submit otherwise for a small amount of money.

Do they often ask you to do missions ? Well.....their firefly is always hungry.

I was wondering the same thing.  I'm not sure if I was nominated for other missions - am not great at keeping up with e-mail these days - but received the current one and it seems easy.  If it was ten bucks a submission so I could make a quick $200 I would do it but for a buck each and a max of $20 would only do it out of curiosity.  Since there is no keywording and the same model could be used I could be my own model and shoot them in 20 minutes, processing would be minimal to just change the file names and upload.  Might take 40 minutes to an hour in total but that isn't really worth $20.  Unless it would get you into other ones that maybe pay more.  If anybody has done these, do they sometimes pay more than $1 per entry?

My thoughts about it are the same as those above - right down to is this the first email I noticed or my first invite? - not sure - but it seems like a lot of time for $20 and I tend to be too much of a perfectionist even when it's unnecessary so I'm sure it'd take me more than an hour to shoot and process 20 photo pairs. But if it leads to more lucrative "missions" I'd give it a shot (or 20  8) )

Anyone here done one of their missions and what was your take? Thanks for sharing your experience.

I first got an invite to do 10 outdoor layered object sets in march at 3 USD each. I did the 10 sets, and all were accepted.

Then in april I got an invite to do 50 indoor layered object sets with 5 objects, 50 outdoor layered objects with minimum 1 object, 50 people objects and 50 animal objects. I think the pay was something like 4 USD for the indoor sets, 3 for the outdoor sets and 2 for the people and animal sets.

I figured there was too much work for the money with the indoor objects sets, with 6 images en each set, but I tried the outdoor objects again, and did 10 sets, which took about 2 hours all included. I would have done more, but ran out of time.

I haven't been invited since.
