I had my best month of the year, both income and downloads. But in general, I see and feel the decline too.
Growing portfolio, but less download volume, less income (contributor fund and unlimited subscriptions don't compensate for losses elsewhere on Shutterstock)

Little strange, are you in 3 fig. or 4?

Not sure what you mean, but I guess you're asking whether I'm making more than 1.000 bucks a month on Shutterstock. Well, if that would be true, it wouldn't be just a side hustle to bring in some extra money, it would be a major income stream. Which it isn't. It's just a nice bonus at the end of the month. And I'm glad it's just some extra money, because otherwise I would be much more frustrated and worried about the downfall of Shutterstock.

I did had a good month at Shutterstock, and apparently this goes against what many other people are experiencing, but I'm not applauding them in any way and I'm not refuting other people's statements. Generally, my downloads and earnings there went downhill too, despite a growing portfolio.

I also have no explanation for my good month. It's not because I had one very big sale, or some bigger ones. I just got a higher volume as usual, with quite some half decent sales. Just as I had a very crappy month earlier this year, with low volumes and very low commissions.

So no conclusions or big statements from my side. Only thing I know is that Shutterstock always has been a very volatile earner for me. Some really good months, some really bad ones. Adobe and iStock/Getty are way more stable.

My sales almost doubled from Aug to Sep! Went from $3 to $5. Woohoo!

SS is very slow.
August was horrible... but was saved by a 65$ video sale. September wasn't good... but saved by 2 30$ video sales.
I hope to see more of these sales each month.

August: 138$. Sep: 110$.
