Hello,

Does anyone know why the Adobe Creative subscription coupon disappeared from the main page and where can i find it?

DesignT

You probably saw last year's (it disappears after a year if you don't close it by then). I see they haven't announced the requirements for this year yet.

I also just noticed.
Hope it will be back before april 14th.  :-\

Last year was announced and released in 15th January.

I am preparing that this program will be discontinued---with the money we make we can afford to pay for it and write it off as well thus a win/win for us.

Now that Davinci resolve supports pro-res output, the only product Adobe has left that I use is photoshop and if forced (like they drop their contributor compensation program), I'd drop that too and learn a replacement. Their workflows feel super clunky and dated and their SAAS model keeps squeezing everyone more and more while the software and interfaces/workflows stagnate.  The value is vastly superior for something like Davinci Resolve, where you pay $300 and own it with free upgrades for life, resell it legally, and the software is very intuitive. I don't feel like I'm being squeezed at all and I use the heck out of it.

I think the future of all of these products is command line driven and whoever does that, will take the market. Like anyone should be able to just be able to type stuff like "mask out these two characters from these two images, composite them and match the lighting with this background" rather than requiring special skills, knowledge and time consuming manual work to make stuff look the way you know you want it to look.

I was effectively discontinued last year when they surprised us with the changed requirements, without any notice. My CC subscription just expired and I got an email from Adobe, asking me to pay. Nope, I won't. And as someone else brought up, I can start removing all the startup and background things that Adobe runs and requires, to make the CC and subscription work. If you haven't ever looked at your startup items or what's running in background, using you memory and resources, maybe you should?

Your art isn't worth anything unless someone else believes it is.

I hear it will be substituted by a $5 coupon rebate for early renewal

That's a good deal! I will jump on if offered. Like I said most of us make a lot of $$$ and can afford the subscription plus high end macbook pro's or intel desktop workstation and mirrorless canon/nikon camera 50mp plus...
