hi  :)

as far as I know there is a connection between the acceptance rate and the search position of your images at dreamstime.
did you notice a similar mechanism at shutterstock?
usualy I have an acceptance rate of about 95 percent at SS. but a few days ago they rejected  nearly 50 % of my last batch. in the following days (until today) I had an heavy drop in sales.... sales went down by about 40 percent for me.  >:( ;D since I got this rejections.
could be just a coincidence... but what do you think? do you know something about an link between acceptance rate and search position at SS????  :) 8)

thanks a lot

Oh, I do not know. I would say it is just a coincidence as I have noticed a drop in sales recently too and I have had almost all images accepted in the respective period of time.

I guess you are right. now I think its just a coincidence and the dropping sales are related to this topic: http://www.microstockgroup.com/index.php?topic=6159.msg68200;topicseen#new
(the fact that new images dont show up in the search at SS recently)

Thanks to everyone for reporting that. We believe that we have found the cause of some new images failing to show up properly in searches ordered by newest first, and expect that everything will be back to normal sometime this afternoon. We'll be keeping an eye on it. Thanks again for reporting it, and thanks for your patience.

In general this week very slow for me. A little disappointing since October has otherwise exceeded expectations for me. It will be a BME, but with the little slowdown, will not reach the sales figure I had hoped based on the projection from the first 3 weeks.

People, did you list  names of other stock agencies to which you submit content!?
Why SS asks this information?

Peter

I dont think so. I have 99-99.9% acceptance ratio, but dont think it has anything to do with image positions. When sales go down, they go down...

I was wondering what happened. I uploaded a bunch of new images and have seen few DLs.

I feel too that this would be a coincidence.
But wouldn't it be nice to know the answers to these questions.
If it was so that acceptance ratio affected search position, I think in this case it would be no harm if contributors knew so. It would make us more careful in our submissions, thus improving the quality of  our output, which ultimately would benefit both ourselves and SS.

AAAAAAA!
Please some answer, pleeaaaase!

who asks?  shutterstock?  It was a while since I signed up so I don't remember, or perhaps they didn't then.

Either way though, if they ask just put down a couple sites you contribute to like dreamstime, stockxpert etc (if you do).  No big deal.

Yes. What's the problem with this? They don't ask for user names.

In some cases, my user name is different because in IS and Big the user I usually use were taken. Anyway, I don't see why it's an issue.
