I feel your pain, I was just rejected for the 2nd time yesterday.  I had submitted pics that were approved on both SS and IS.  I don't get it?

For what it is worth....
I would choose:

Wind toss coconut by the beach
Castle
Himalaya mountain
Open bible
Stone road closeup (grey stones)

Good luck...

Yeah, what were the reasons they shot you down?

Just because they're selling great on SS isn't a measure of assured acceptance anywhere else, but I suppose you know that, you seem to be on several sites as it is.   I went into StockXpert with all my SS shots, figuring if I got past  their  "noise fanatical"  reviewers, I'd roll right into StockXpert.   Nope!! On the other hand,  StockXpert took some of my SS rejects, so...there's no figuring them out at all. Most of my StockXpert rejects are  the old "got enough of this stuff already".

I surfed your LO portfolio.  I'm a landscape kind a guy and I liked all your Singapore shots! Have they been shot down? Seems like you gave them real variety as well.  ?????????  Who knows what evils lurk in the hearts of reviewers????     (insert manical laughter here)

Ok, since you guys are keen to give some advice. Any chance someone could check out my stuff and pick some they reckon I can have a shot with on StockXpert and SS when my lock out ends on January 7 ... I mean they should be nice this time, it will be my birthday after all.

Here is my stuff

Hi David/litifeta,

Don't see why you should have any trouble uploading, you have nice quality work.

StockXpert rejected some of my landscape photo's, so try those later, but you have plenty of variation, you won't have a problem.

I feel your pain.  I was rejected again, too.  The reason?  I can't find the email now, but it was something vague:  This isn't what we are looking for at this time.

I've been accepted at SS and doing well.  I've been accepted at IS and am slowly building my portfolio.  I've been submitting to numerous other sites for 5 or 6 months.  It doesn't make sense.  I can't figure out what they want or what they don't want.  Do I have to have people shots or what?  I'd rather not send those till I am accepted.

I'm with you, I am 0 for 4 of pics that are one at least three sites.

The images I had rejected for "we're not looking for this kind of image" were mostly illustrations.  I get rejections more often for "poor lighting".

I would pick the more colourful, less noisy, more original images, and those that are very conceptual.  Sites like people shots (I don't have them).  I believe it's advisable to avoid subjects that are very common such as waterfalls and sunsets, no matter how good they are.  I would also not guide myself through the sales in other sites, but through what is technically and aesthetically better.

Adelaide

All the rejection reasons were "we're not looking for this kind of image"

I had a similar experience with IS, but what happened in my case was that the images I submitted when registering were not accepted afterwards for "not being suitable as stock".
