I just tried to upload an illustration to Dreamstime and got the message that the regular upload was disabled and to use FTP. Does anyone know what's happening?

There's a thread about it on the DT forums.  It is only disabled for a couple of hours a day while they update the site so either use FTP or wait a couple of hours.

Couple hours = Approximately 2 hours.

Actually by my watch a couple of hours has been 4 hours and then 9 hours. Today is 3.5 hours so far.

English is not my mother tongue, but I disagree with the meaning a couple. When used as an adjective, couple means two or more, but not many. Therefore couple of hours does not equal approximately two hours, but rather not many hours.

 From dictionary.com   

Couple  = two of the same sort considered together; pair.

Several = being more than two but fewer than many in number or kind

Few =     not many but more than one

So maybe dreamstime would be more accurate if they said a few hours  . . .

ahhh semantics     

My fault, I just had a look and Serban actually said several hours.  I remembered it wrong.

Oh, it was disabled also a couple of days ago, and I used FTP even though it was only one image.

Amazing how much attention such minor detail can attract LoooL...

I thought that somethiing like this hardly would be noticed.. As long as the ftp is still up and running...  If I had anything to say at dreamstime, I would skip the web upload all together, and only offer the ftp.. 

It's easier, It's faster, it's more reliable...  So what's to consider?  - Even the software is freeware....

Fool them and do your upload at 5:AM CST as thy shut down about 9:AM CST .... Early bird gets the worm!

Looks like DT is down, but I think they said they were doing site changes,
so maybe something good is coming.

EDIT: They seem to be back now (11:30AM)

They changed the look of the "My Earnings" page.
