Does SS have a 'scout' equivalent?

I just had a whole batch rejected at SS that both DT and IS took all of them. Instead of resubmitting, I was wondering if SS has something like 'scout' that I can have review them.

Thanks

No. You can write to support, but I advice you to just resubmit. Most likely they will be accepted next time.

What was the reason?    Istock have one criteria. Quality!  SS want´s pop out noisefree images. Even if u used Noiseninja 250% and saturation 300%  :D

Just resubmit them in small portions mixed with other images.   Maybe boost the colors a bit...

You can submit a few to the Critique/Tips/tricks section of the forum,
and get some honest answers. You might want to read the How to Post Images sticky first.

As Whitechild said, just resubmit. I used to send emails about rejection and they would find many reasons why the image was rejected even if it was different than the original reason that didn't make sense. After that, I just resubmit and they usually get accepted.

I think I got a reviewer in a bad mood. They mostly got rejected for lighting which is kind of funny since they were studio shots.

Oh well, I'll just wait a bit and resubmit.

goldenangel

He/She might have been in a bad mood already :D

I just had a buch rejected by SS for "uneven lighting or shadows".  I think they're just about perfect, and DT and FT accepted them.   So I agree with previous posters - if you feel confident about your image, and it's been accepted by other big sites, just wait a few days and resubmit.

And we need to be on multiple sites. A jihad is underway - rejections for "well covered", "not stock worthy" as well as quality issues which sometimes are simply not real.   I think the pressure is on the reviewers to turn up the heat and the result is many good images are being rejected.

"Well covered" is the most frustrating.  There's really no way to know.

is it allowed at SS to simply upload a rejected image again?

mattb

When I resubmitted them I put a note in the comment field that I corrected the issues from the first submission. All I really did was boost the saturation a bit, which I really didn't even like, and they were accepted.

Inga

hm yes I perhaps will make some minor changes. Although I think the images are ok already... And then re-submit..  :)

goldenangel

You don't need to make corrections if you feel that images are good.

with Jerry on this one - show them in the critique section of the ss forum before resubmitting.  the feedback you can get there is extensive, and they can give you a good heads up on specific SS acceptance criteria

that is so true, I would say that ss even prefers that you overstaurate

In case you guys don't know "Scout" Is a group of people. Not one person.

I just had a bunch rejected that were accepted elsewhere. I usually make some corrections to the file and resubmit, out of courtesy to the reviewers I add a message in the 'note to reviewers' section that the images are resubmissions with corrections. Downsizing always helps if their is a focus issue. I think its wrong to assume that a rejection is made because a reviewer is in a bad mood, in most cases I can see their POV, even though I might not necessarily agree ;-)
