"Only on iStock" does the phrase 'in due course' mean 'this month, next month, sometime, never' rather than 'when it is due', which in this case was ten days ago.

Maybe they are waiting for the next new manager and are not making decisions until he or she starts to work.

With the lack of discussion or major WooYay strings in the iStockalypse 2014 topic I think another sign of crashing. Similar previous threads were very long.  The buzz is gone - whether by intent or reaction.

I think you are being unfair, Kelvin stated twice that things will be updated in "due course".

The fact that six days are between these statements, that Valentine's Day was ten days ago and that nothing was changed yet, at least gives us a lower boundary of what IS considers "due course". If all of us live long enough to see the upper boundary of that interval remains to be seen, but I have high hopes for those aged 25 or under  :o ;D

"Rawpixel" dropped the crown

but all his photos still priced as exclusive? Another deal?

If they dont want to offer exclusive images, then at least they should offer the possibility of a second "exclusive" account, for those who want to send them exclusive stuff.

It is a shame they are offering these deals only to artists that come in from getty instead of offering it to their own community of exclusives.

Continuing the abandoned ship metaphor, are we thinking more the Marie Celeste or the Titanic? Both seem to be appropriate metaphors to me.

None of those were pirate ships.

I more think of "The flying Dutchman"
Cursed and forever sailing the bloody red skies with no  contact to real the humans below.
Also the ancient Mariner comes to mind.

Not to mention Red October, or better, the K 19, widow maker.

Nobody is at the helm and there is an iceberg (storm, island, problem object) ahead. That "Nobody" could be a nonfunctional life form or could be a complete vacancy. We just don't know from this view from the engine room.

I've just had two of my worst-for-$$ weeks ever, following two consecutive weeks that were in my top ten ever for $$$.

Reminds me why I stopped reading IS forums. So don't yell when I don't know the obvious that something new was announced a month ago there. It's a waste of time reading. Here's the most common forum response from people there, when asked a difficult question or something flawed is pointed out...

"This thread has been locked."

Exactly why I stopped going there. It's a woo yay forum if you don't want a thread to be locked.

Why would you want to go a city you've never been to and be responsible for arranging your own 'side shoot' with locations and models?  I wouldn't.  As far as I can tell, there are no company planned shoots.  Just discussion panels.

The buzz seems to have moved to various Fb groups; but I agree 100% with Sean - makes no sense whatsoever. But I think a lot of people go for the fun and the craic.
