What more can I say than this printscreen says? A new file, averaging over 3 DLs/day (that is huge for me), looks I'm getting a flame within a month :o

Happy! ;D

Blasting off like a rocket. Imagine I was exclusive, getting at least 5x the revenue in E+ :o .

But yeah, just laugh you big timers, you're not spoiling the fun for me, it's still big and something I haven't yet experienced at IS.

I would do it gladly. If it was the kind of niche you're doing. I'd tease y'all to death with it ;D (since no one would be able to copy it)

I suspect my great run with a particular image (and series to a degree), is about to end. Dropped from being in the 1-3 search position under a relatively popular search term for a while now, all the way down to the 2nd half of the 200 image page. I expect it do drop out of the 1st 200 page soon, probably even before the best selling of the bunch flames up.

I'd be surprised if my best match boost (as an indie) lasted any longer. That being said, I enjoyed it while it lasted :)

This is largely fun trivia, but when I looked at the my_uploads page this evening I noticed that in my last 20 sales I had every year I'd been submitting to iStock represented - 2004 through 2012. It does mean that a pretty broad range of things is selling given the current best match settings, which is good (at least it's good if you have material from many different eras anyway). This doesn't happen all that often in part because I don't have many 2004 images online (I started in September 2004).

^^^ Hmm __ same here. Now that I've checked, all my years of uploading from 2004-12 are represented in my last 20 sales too!

Despite my images being reasonably well represented in my standard searches, June has got off to a painfully slow start for me at Istock so far.

Me too. From 2006 through to 2012, every year is represented.
2006 x3
2007 x4
2008 x5
2009 x3
2010 x1
2011 x2
2012 x2
I wonder how buyers are finding some of those images.  One of the 2008 images only has 20 dls so it can't be  near the front of any search.

Great, they're weighing best match towards old files, I'm going to be left out to dry (and it was going so well for a month or so)

Might well be Best Match, but this month is horrible so far. Even more annoying is last month was a BME, so was hoping for that upward trend to continue, but a very, very slow start to the month so far.

This is without doubt the worst change ever, its got to the point where one wonders if its worth remaining at IS, uploading or anything.

I don't know what's happened this month. At first, I was making allowances for the very long UK weekend, as most of my sales happen in UK time. But it certainly hasn't picked up, and last year June was my second best month of the year. I'm not sure I can totally blame best match, though there was a shake up some time last week.

I had a bad day yesterday (by new standards) as well. I hope it's just one day, it happens at IS (while it doesn't at SS, at least during the week, but it's a different business model, due to the sub model the volume is a lot higher)

In general the last week or so has been slightly better for me except for yesterday which was a disaster.

Looks like it affects us both in the same way :)

Yes, sales are down this weeks also for me. I would blame it on another price hike (not really needed, actually no so big increases, but at the price of giving the feeling of larger ones, and that is bad for business), but on the other hand much of waht I'm selling are old and very inusual files. May be both.

It's starting to look more and more, that I was just on a hot streak and that yesterday's low sales are going to continue. Just 1 DL so far today :o . So much for my dreams of exclusivity
