So.....I have selected a bunch of images to edit/upload. Then I get a message that the current batch is full. Fine.

But I cannot see how to get the images already selected to go to a different batch - is this not possible? Are they forever linked to the 'full' batch?

If it isn't possible to redirect them, then surely it would be useful as you don't regularly see how many images are in a batch until the message arrives that it is full.....

On the other hand, I am hoping that there is some cunning wheeze to just redirect them.....

Just delete those images you just uploaded, then make a new batch, then re-upload. In the future, just make a new batch each time you want to upload more sets of images, then you won't need to keep track of how many images are in the previous batch. BTW. a batch is limited to 100 images.

I tend to upload in many small batches.....

Oh well.
No point whinging - but it would be nice if the system kept track of batch size.....

A bit late to the party, but yes, DeepMeta does keep track of the number of files in a batch and won't let you add more than the max 100, imposed by Getty.

It's possible that DeepMeta does not have the latest info on number of files in a batch, e.g. when you added images directly at the ESP site, and did not sync DeepMeta afterwards. (just one possible scenario).

There is a very simply way to move files from one batch to another (or new) one: just select the files in the file list, right-click and select "Move". This opens the "Move window", where you can select the batch to move the files to, or create a new batch.

This feature is also very handy for changing the batch type. Say you had a bunch of "Creative Image" files rejected with notice "better as editorial", then in DeepMeta, select these files, move to a new batch of type "Editorial Image" and resubmit. Takes less than a minute.

This feature is relatively new and not well known, so I might create a small video on this topic.

Instead of making a video, why not just update the UI/design to make it more obvious that this can be done. For example, instead of right click, which is not obvious, just a 'move' or 'move to different batch' button.

Thanks Franky - that's a better solution!

The only thing is that they then seem to be set up for Upload rather than Edit - but it seems I can still edit them anyway. Just for info....will now go and edit and upload them! Ta!

Edited to add: I know Deep Meta must know how many images there are in a batch, but I think it only tell me when the number allowed is exceeded. With the fix above this is not a big issue. But it would be nice to see in advance if possible....
