Just found out that it doesn't work with stocksubmitter anyway. Time to forget IS.

Sorry, I haven't seen that info (you need an API key).
The last I read, you can't upload to iS via Stocksubmitter:

http://www.microstockgroup.com/software-general/istockgetty-no-longer-accepting-submissions-from-stocksubmitter/25

I googled stocksubmitter API iStock and stocksubmitter API iStockphoto and can't find anything more recent than the above threads from msg.
If you read that info elsewhere, maybe you could contact the source of the info?
