Istock is now rejecting my istock model release. But at the same time for another model, they accept the model release. Which are identical.

The only thing I did was removed the Istock address and logo. I did that so I can use it on all agencies. But one MR is accepted, the other is not.

Any ideas? Removing the address and logo doesnt invalidate the MR, does it? And why the inconsistency?

The releases attached with this photograph does not comply with iStockphoto\'s legal standards. In the future we recommend that you use the standard iStockphoto release.,

I dont get it, I just got another acceptance note, for an image with me as model, but from that same series, with myself, I got rejections yesterday, about the model release. All images have the same model release. In the same batch I get rejections and acceptances, over the same MR. LOL

Just Scout them.  I've had it happen before and Scout took care of it. Just make sure you have the shoot description on the release, where it was shot and the date even if the current MR doesn't have fields for that.  They have become very touchy about that. I haven't seen an IS MR for quite some time so not sure whether theirs has this updated requirement.

For several series, I have used the MR they link me to in their rejection email. Its identical, yet they reject it.

The other acceptances and rejections dont make sense either. Reject them all, or accept them all.

Creating new MRs is no problem by the way.

I'll email scout as well, as the one with the valid MR should have been accepted.

You've used the exact same release for several series?

That may be your problem.  They want a NEW release for each shoot/series.

FWIW, I use the istock release with the logo removed and haven't had issues.  The only time I've had releases rejected is when the model signed using the wrong date, or the date wasn't legible.

No, the same MR template. One is accepted the other isnt. Maybe there is something wrong, but then it still doesnt make sense to reject and accept images in the SAME series for MR.

I think this sort of inconsistency happens when they train new inspectors.  I doubt it's your release that's the problem at all.

I had a whole bunch held up pending model release (in fairness, though, not rejected) - did the scout thing, waited 6 weeks and then said, "bugger it" and just saved a "this isn't a real person" statement as jpeg and uploaded as a release.
