Would anyone like to explain why signature files are showing correctly as 3 credits on Firefox, but are showing as 1 credit and XX credits on Chrome. Here's an example of one of my files, but it was pics from a.n. other which drew my attention to it, and I've found it over a range of signature files from myself and several others.

If this turns out to be a bug, and not some insanity of mine, (i.e. if someone else gets the same result) could someone post it on the September bugs thread in the Help forum, please?
I have posted it on a Fb exclusives group but if it's a bug, every channel should be used to get it sorted pdq.
Tx.

It comes up as 3 credits in ie.  Look at your second shot and note that it is a different size also.  Would this be a cache thing?

Yes, it's 3 credits on IE here too. Hadn't noticed the stated size difference. Strange. Could be cache with my file, I guess, though I refreshed several times, but certainly not the random files from others. I'm on my phone now. If no one can replicate it, it's my own odd weirdness. Thanks for looking.

On Mac I see the price of 3 credit on Safari, Firefox and Chrome

I think that you should try to cancel your browser cache.

This appears to be a glitch. Apparently the "dummy" page is showing up and not changing over to the live page on Chrome for you. I see the same page for half a second when looking at my newly approved images, then it "flips" to the live page for me. I took a screen shot Of mine. Hopefully I'll get to a computer today and can upload it. I'll post it in their forums.

Hmmm, I deleted my entire browsing history, cookies etc from Chrome (Win7) and tried again.
Took over five minutes (literally, I made and drank tea within the time) to get onto the home page, from which I couldn't search. Tried to get in via one of the photo links. During this time, in Chrome, I went onto SS, Ft, Dt and Stocksy and successfully searched 'iceberg' in each. I closed the tab and opened another, again couldn't search via the search box, but eventually got into the business image link and from there, very slowly, I got the iceberg search, then to my image, and found that the page was exactly the same. I took a screenshot showing the date and time (BST, ten minutes ago). Refreshing the page doesn't change anything.

Meanwhile all the rivals are whizzing through searches.
It doesn't matter for me - I'm not a buyer and I only use Chrome for checking in-uses and abuses.
I guess it's been a few weeks since I used Chrome, so I probably need to update it, though it wasn't suggested to me when I launched it.
Checked, and it says: "Version 37.0.2062.124 m   Google Chrome is up to date."

I noticed something interesting....Searched for the image by number 6744170. Watched the result screen very closely and noted a 1 credit screen popped up first and then was quickly overwritten by the 3 credit screen. Windows Chrome, Ohio, USA. I was NOT logged into iStock at the time.

I see the same action in MS Internet Explorer v8 (old).

Stan, I just noticed that on a video page.
I uninstalled Chrome, then redownloaded it and installed it.
Still have the problem re searching from the home page (can't use the big search box, have to get into the site via one of the photos and then search).
Discovered that any photo page, although it looks 'finished', hasn't fully loaded - the timer in the tab is still going round and at the bottom left there's a little message saying "waiting for omni.istockphoto.com" at the bottom left. That's after six minutes, so it's probably not going to resolve. I'll refresh the page and see what happens.
... Nope, the refresh icon isn't there while the tab timer thingy is scrolling. Can't refresh.
BTW, note that the size now indicated on my file is the same as on the FF version.
I'm guessing it must be a clash between the omni thing, whatever it is, and either Chrome or something else on my computer but also affecting Chrome.
If it's only a problem on my computer, and I'm not a buyer, it's not a real issue.

It is not the history or the cookies that you have to delete, but the cache.
Or do you include the cache in "etc"?

It was everything, including the cache, but since I did that, I totally uninstalled Chrome then downloaded and reinstalled it with the results as shown above. Somewhere between 14mins and 18 mins the page resolved (timer stopped turning, the 'waiting for omni.istockphoto.com' message disappeared, but still showing 1Cr XXcr. I was then able to refresh the page, with the same result, 1Cr, XXCr. Note it's only that file. I get the same results with other people's raster and vector files, though a video page I clicked showed 1Cr XXCr but after a couple of seconds resolved to 18 credits.

Uninstalling doesn't delete cookies IMO

To have the screen repaint I think has to come from the iStock end. Paint the 1 credit screen, do something, refresh to the 3 credit screen. Your system is getting stalled at the "do something" stage and never getting the final screen painted. Seems like very inefficient iStock page programming if indeed a 1 credit screen gets sent to then be refreshed to a 3 credit screen. No wonder the iStock servers are slow.

The iStock pages seem to have lots of non-istock references a few months ago when someone was talking about page load times. I forget what Internet service I used to watch all the accesses being done to load a page. If tracking and adverts are being done at slow servers then the page load looks slow.

I just tried:
tools.pingdom.com
with URL:
http://www.istockphoto.com/photo/iceberg-newfoundland-trinity-bay-canada-6744170
and it took 84 requests and 2.86 seconds to load. 84 requests? Ouch! Note that quite a few of the requests do not seem to be to the iStock related sites.

With this tool you might be able to see what site is hanging up your page delivery.

I already deleted cookies.
The default deletes:
Browsing history
Do
Cookies and other site and plug-in data
Cached images and files

I just did it yet again, just to be sure, and no difference.

A closed exclusive group. I believe there are several Fb groups for iStockers.

How does one gain access to this group where questions are answered by iStock admins?

I'm on two, one I asked to be admitted to, the other I had to be invited onto, but I can 't remember which was which.
Questions are by no means always answered by Admins on the group, but they can be.
BTW, note that the admin only said that the problem 'should' be sorted soon, not that it 'would' be.
People are discussing the recent refunds over there just now. No admin has come on there yet, though I notice, as well as several posts being deleted on the subject of refunds on the subject from the iS forum, Kelvin posted "Just to be clear, Getty or Getty 360 refunds have no connection to the changes made recently. If you require further clarification or didn't receive an email with a refund, please open a support ticket."
