Did You Know?
Next time you share a link you could earn $20 USD, 20 Credits or 20% Commission. Learn More

I stumbled across this while browsing the iStock site.  The "Learn More" led me to info about the referral program.
Can someone please explain more about the "share a link" part of the above?

I guess if you share a link and someone uses it to buy credits you get the earnings.
The current referral scheme has a pretty bad rap.

Have nev had a single referral. I am signed up and have shared links and there have been plenty of clicks...yet not a single referral. I doubt the system works.

I really wouldn't worry about referrals over there.  It's a poor, complicated implementation.

Thanks for the responses.  It seems that the Sharing invitation is not what I thought.
I did not see it as Referrals.  It was linked in someway to sharing sold images on Facebook and Twitter links -- at least that is what I was getting from it.

iStock does seem to delight in offering confusion.   :P

I don't find it complicated...it just simply doesn't seem to work as intended.

Maybe that's what I am missing ... How was it intended to work?

It was reorganised in order to stop paying people referrals as far I as I can tell, then sold as a 'benefit'. Brilliant.

Yeah, I think making money with referrals is pretty much being killed off by most of these agencies (especially for referred contributors).

You can always join my affiliate program though, and help me sell my stuff.

I don't think the process could be any more straight forward. The issue is that there is no return. I suspect the system doesn't work and IS is okay with playing the naive card because they don't have to pay out
