I am thinking of making a lightbox.

having ready the following blog:

I have a few ideas. I think mine will involve 3 or 4 drycleaing coat hangers (wire that can be rebent) a white rubbish bag, tape, a few table lamps etc. This should make it free.

Just wanted to see a few to see if I was on the right track.

Your plan sounds great. It really helps to get shadowless pictures.

I do not have picture of my old lightbox but mine was made from 8x 50cm painted wood slabs, few nails (to make box with only top and sides), roll of white butter paper (from the kitchen) stapled on wood slabs. I also had white paper card as background. Worked out great (the white butter paper is actually better light diffuser than commercial light box fabrics). I used 2x 300w halogen lights. (butter paper can tolerate heat so you do not have problem with melting plastic bag

)

Some bits of pvc plumbing, and white nylon... It's about 36"x20x20".

Works OK, don't use it as much as I could do...

Some images using this setup: (Although probably with different lights, can't remember, but don't use the portable brollies all that often.)
