Just had a first sale at http://www.usphotostock.com

This site offers large and small options to its buyers.  The photographer receives $0.40 for a small and $1.00 for a large.  This particular sale was for the large size.

For those monitoring or even considering posting their photos at the site ... it's currently offline ???

"USPHOTOSTOCK.COM temporarily unavailable. We are doing everything possible to resolve this problem in a timely manner. We will update you as soon as we can. It should not take more than 3-5 days.
Thank you for understanding.

And unfortunately, it's already been offline for MORE than 3-5 days.  Not looking good.

I pulled all my pics from the site after no reply from the for over two weeks, there's an earlier thread on these guys, I haven't been there to see if indeed my shots have been deleted yet.

Well, i did check in and still get the site is unavailable or offline.  How did you get to the site??

After you type in your email and password to get in, you can still click on the "Control Panel" tab at the top, and get your photo gallery information. You can also still send emails to them (at least you could a few days ago, when I sent one requesting that my gallery be deleted. Which it hasn't.)

Maybe they just packed up and left town.

That's fine and good riddance, but how many shots were purchased on the site, and any photographers get paid?

yeah...  you can still access your USPS personal data and gallery... and i've noticed that my views continue to increase... but.. no downloads..
interestingly, you can also buy credits.  Funny how that part of the site still works just fine....  3-5 days, hunh?    I would think that if there were a legit problem, they'd have mailed all the photogs with some explanation or update...  as it is.............   ???? :'(

Back to add on:   I just googled  USPhotoStock under images. About 2 dozen pages came up with pix from the site. Clicking on any takes you right into the site.  I tried to buy one right up to the final click to complete the transaction. Seems you can readily buy from USPS. Has anyone tired to actually buy one of their photos?

Looks like they're slipping further into the abyss...

Now you can't even get to the website...a white screen with the message "This website is temporarily offline. Contact Ktools.net for more information" comes up as soon as you try to access it.  Not good.

Believe it or not...the website is up and running again.

Still don't know if I want to upload to them anymore.  They make me a little nervous.

Whatever happened behind that whole USphotostock fiasco?  I know they're back up and running but....    Since the crash,  I've shy'd away from them, however I still have a little over a hundred pix on board. Got a gazillion hits, but the only sale was one that a friend made just so I could see if credit came my way.  It did. Sold zero else since. And these are pix that sell well on DT, BS, SS, Fotolia & Lucky,  however, zip on USPS.
dbvirago,  I recall reading on another site some time ago that you might look into the matter with the (was it Utah?) Attrny Gen???  Or am I wrong?  Did I also see you pulled out of USPS, correct??? Didn't notice your name in the photog list?
Any idea  ( from anyone) what happened,  and are any of you still loading there? Or have any of you  pulled out?  Thanks in advance for any data.   tgt

I asked that all my images be removed, but that was ignored. So far I haven't done anything, but I'm not wasting any time uploading there. I feel the same way about them as several other sites, it doesn't matter to me if it's a scam or just simple incompetence, I won't be back and I'll let other know how I feel. Unfortunately, there will always be plenty of people that just want their shots accepted anywhere so there will always be agencies like this one.

Stick with what works

Beam me up Scotty!!  What next?  Instant interstellar space travel? Time machines? The Phillies winning a World Series?  or....   getting a sale on USPhotoStock???
..... Imagine that, yesterday, not just one, but 3 large format sales on USPS!!
That site still weirds me out. I haven't uploaded there since the fiasco in August. And after seeing how many of you can't seem to get off the site when you ask to...    something's fishy.
  Yet, a sale.
Have you ever checked out the view/sales ratio there?  How about views there vs views on other sites?   The numbers just don't figure.
I rate myself 'microstock-wise'  as average, maybe a little below average in composition and subject. While I think I can shoot a nice pic after 45 years of effort,  I know I need a different perspective when shooting for micro sales, 'art' doesn't work. Being new, I know I've got a lot to learn from you folks...  but the numbers on USPS....???
I have only 117 pix posted there, yet the stats show 20,386 views ...?!?!?! Those pix aren't that good or worthy of that kind of  'viewing'. In fact, many of the pix I loaded there (my first site), I'd never upload elsewhere now that I know better. They're junk. That view count can't be correct.
And a grand total, including yesterday's 3,  of  four sales.  Not to mention, the first one was a friend buying it during the fiasco just to see if I got credit for the sale.   weird!!!
The top seller on USPS has only sold 129 pix... and I believe that 'folio is a couple thousand. Views on that photog, over 36 thousand..
Sure would like to look behind the scenes in that company.  It just doesn't make sense.
Are any of you that are still on USPS selling anything? Those of you that have tried to get off the site, did you have success?.

usps is a joke.  try searching for fotilia, shutterstock, or any other on this site.  I don't think anybody's home.

ianhlnd:  I seached the photographers list today on USPS and didn't see your name there any longer. Some of the others still are.  Your previous comments indicated you had some trouble getting your 'folio deleted.  How did you finally get it off of USPS?  I may need that advice.

wonders never cease...   I just sold    'another'    pic on USPS..... gee that makes  a grand total of six since June 2006!!!   Let me do some math... one pic every month... ah, times 10, add the 7, divided by........    gee payout would be...     wow, I can't count that high...    maybe I can  put the payout in my will for my grandkids college fund........  Yeah, that's the ticket!  :D    -tom

I've earned $2.20 so far at USPS. It's REAL SLOW pickings...
But on the other hand, there are sites of mine with ZERO sales, at least there is movement  ;D

With 140 photos I'm stuck at $1.20 in sales. I've stopped uloading and just waiting to see what happens.

.... i've been told here that the only way to get off USPS is to delete one picture at a time...   who's has the time to do that?  I keep racking up the hits there,  but ...... 6 sales...  (and the 1st one was me just testing to see if the sale registered for me- so I legitimately only sold 5)
Even the top seller, who was online when I first went to USPS in June '06, has only sold  180 from a 1460 portfolio.
I counted 394 photogs on the photographers page.  I recognized a few names from the MSG family.  The top uploader with 3515 pix has only sold 99.
I haven't uploaded since the fiasco last fall when they were down for... whatever, a few weeks, wasn't it?   I kept hoping it would  ''take off'  when they came back up with the revised website...   but alas....    nada.
    Live and learn.
