Hi everyone, new here.

I've been selling 99% Video over the last three years and have kept records over the time of the sales and have noticed a trend with Adobe which has got me worried that they're penalising me for withdrawing funds.

When Adobe is doing well for me, I'll see on average between 2-7 video sales per week and it's can be one of my better performing agencies, but I've noticed that after withdrawing funds the following 3-5 weeks have little to no sales. My biggest withdrawal from Adobe was at the beginning of April and since then I've had a whopping 1.20 in sales (a couple of photos).

Does anyone else keep track of when they withdraw and notice any decline in sales? When this has happened in the past, the charts do show that the sales pick back up, but it feels like something is happening to my footage rankings.

I do not think there is any link in withdrawing funds and penalizing your sales due to it.

Its summer time and sales are usually down everywhere.

This is just another case of our human brains trying to find connections and patterns between anything and everything.

I usually withdraw when I reach a certain amount. Sometimes it goes right back up within days. Sometimes it takes much longer. It's just the natural ebb and flow of sales.

It makes absolutely no sense to secretely penalize withdrawals... You need to ask yourself WHY they would do that? So that 0.1% of contributors might get suspicious and not withdraw as often?

For many years, I withdrew every single week, as soon as the previous payment request was fulfilled.

There are many conspiracy theories proposed on this forum.
But this is a new one!

Congrats!  :P

I have considered that this just can't be possible, but there just seems to be an instant decline in sales after a withdrawal. Going from 3-7 video sales per week to a zero in 5 weeks feels very unusual. As you say though, the brain does love to connect these things and there's every chance it's a total coincidence.

Once my sales are (hopefully) back to normal, I'll test this again with search rankings and see if my content moves around much after a withdrawal. I'll be wearing my tinfoil hat whilst doing all this...!

Again, the sales downfall can be due to many reasons, like summer time, search algorithm change, you not producing good content any more etc.

Do not panic, things will get to normal, take a beer  :)

Nope, makes no difference. I take 1000+ a month and it has zero impact on earnings. To be honest, the volume of sales you seem to be getting wouldn't allow you to draw any conclusions one way or the other. If a $50 sale has major impact on your monthly earnings then you will experience wild swings from + to -. Give it a bit, sure it will turn good again.

Poisson clumping.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poisson_clumping

Poisson clumping is used to explain marked increases or decreases in the frequency of an event, such as shark attacks, "coincidences", birthdays, or heads or tails from coin tosses, and e-mail correspondence.

Submit relevant content. I do not think they're penalizing you.
