Title: Ask to Leave MSG
Post by: Bad Company on September 05, 2017, 09:25
A few folks have ask me to leave the MSG. I will not mention there MSG names since I am not a rat. Here are their reasons for me to leave the site:

1. Offend them
2. Give Newbies too help
3. Start too many new posts
4. My skill level is too low to be on this site
5. Add little to no value

Maybe there right  :-[

I didn't see much malice in his comments and threads. I think a better name would have been Good Company.

Just ignore them!

I love haters, they make me work harder.

Several people have suggested I stop posting here too, because of what they perceive as negativity.

The word "troll" had a pretty specific meaning in the early days of the net:  someone who posted wildly opinionated flames just to provoke a reaction.  Today it's been redefined as "anyone posting strong opinions I disagree with".  Also, anonymity was assumed in those early days; that was seen as a good thing, part of the spirit of the net.  But every now and then, someone starts a thread here demanding that real names be used, backed up by the usual "if you have nothing to hide" justifications.  I don't understand what's behind those demands.

Personally I've always enjoyed wild, over-the-top, unregulated exchanges on web forums and see no reason for anyone to be kept out, except for the obvious things like over-posting or obscenity.   I've been online since before the internet went public  (starting in the days of DOS and BBSes) and I've seen it all.    I don't care if people attack my opinions, or hit me with cutting remarks, or use goofy handles, or tell lies - it's all part of the game and I've gotten a lot of laughs from it over the years.  And, after all, it's just text on a screen.

I always liked his/her posts bit prima donna ish to flounce off and no doubt read the comments about how sad we all are though! They'll be back!

Their posts were inoffensive, not sure why anyone would ask them to leave, or why they would listen if they did. Bit narcissistic to start so many threads maybe, ironic that they also started a new thread to leave! Don't really have much time for this kind of drama.

Don't do it!
If you do it they won…
If you don't do it you win!

I did not ask him to leave, but I did jokingly "like" his post about leaving. I thought it was in jest. But hey, we are grown people, everyone's decision has to be respected.

Everyone needs to take a break now and then, so enjoy your timeout, but I didn't notice that you did anything different than a lot of others here. I don't get that...if people don't like what you have to say they can a) put you on ignore or b) just not read your posts! You have just as much right to post here as anyone else and Leaf is the only one who has the right to tell you to go. Put your armadillo armor on and come back. Screw those other people. Let them leave. Nobody needs all the drama.
