Title: Gallery Invitation email
Post by: RacePhoto on July 27, 2010, 05:29
I found this humorous so I saved it from the scam and spam folder, to post here.

"Here is some basic information regarding this exhibition:

-Featuring artists worldwide.

-Artist keeps 80% of the sales.

-Artworks will be viewed by artist, art lovers and collectors worldwide.
"

I suppose someone will try this, I wouldn't and the site looks like something one of use could have created in 15 minutes. 80% of what? Look at the size of the images. (no link intentionally)

Ha! That's funny. And there's the computer that was used to send out the spam and scam emails in the background.  :)

This is the gallery

Ooooh, they stole my wall fan!

Crap place? Prepare to be introduced (in an exclusive preview) to FD's Gusa Vision Studios! Second only to Vegas Vision Studios as to equipment, atmosphere and facilities!
Midst the lofty surrounds of the breathtaking Mindanao mountains, this gem offers the guests:
Quote
  • state of the art reflectors made of leftovers of the roof insulation (that brings the unbearable 36°C down to a comfortable 34°C)
  • a professional light tent entirely constructed with prime water tubing leftovers, the best that cheap Chinese import plastic can offer
  • amenities like a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, fridge and a reasonably mouse-free sink (don't eat the poison pellets please)
  • (stay away from my nescafé and creamer though! no kidding)
  • a very high tech calendar and assorted clock to plan your shoots (bring some thumbnails to adjust the calendar)
  • a rock solid table for all your product shoots - strong and stable enough to carry an elephant if there is one in the room (you might have to add some tubing)

Now you might think that this is just a crap layout of a poor guy on his kitchen table. Wrong!
We have an international and worldwide exposure and our shots are sold for up to a full 35 dollarcents (wow!) all over the web!  ;D

A little duck. Model's hands under the fabric at the back to do hand shoots. Actually Nikola, it's all your fault since I was jealous at your product shots.  :P

What cam?  ;D
At the front where the light tent is open, but you can't see it well since the image is overexposed there. Actually, I should put a reflector in front of it with a hole for the lens, so I would get better frontal light.

No no no. You all miss the point of this business. It is actually how micro stock sites begin. I predict that within a month we'll all get email invitations to join the newest micro stock site: PHOTO FAN.
