I'm not posting this because of the story, but because of the images.  I was really struck by the similarity between the two faces here.  Do you think this is what MJ was aiming for?  According to this, he was huge Robert Burns fan.

Thanks RubyRoo ~
Maybe we should form a duet: RubyRoo and ShadySue. Guess with these names it would need to be C&W.  ;)
Ha on the likeness. I'll show my husband: he's a big Burns man - goes to the 'oldest continuous Burns Club in the world', but in the tradition of the poet, women aren't allowed  ::)

I found a school question based on the famous Naismyth/Naismith portrait:
"Graphic Communication: Discuss whether Burns' portrait by Naismith is a romanticisation. What evidence is there for this in the artistic technique? Discuss how a painter can bring out the best in the subject and their responsibilities in this respect. "

 :D @ the duet.

I'm glad it was of interest to you :)  No women allowed?  Good grief... that reminds me of something by Kipling:   "A woman is only a woman, but a good cigar is a smoke".

Mind you... when you break it down, it's hard to refute that statement :D

Nice question.  I don't have to answer it, do I?  :D

My husband's jaw just about hit the floor.
We do get to go to the Bothy Night and the Holy Fair  ;)

What are Bothy Night and the Holy Fair?  You don't have to wear dresses and make tea do you?

I hope your husband wasn't too freaked out!

Just for interests sake, odd that this story should hit right now? Robert Burns (25 January 1759 21 July 1796) Robert Burns Birthday party is celebrated annually in many places besides Scotland.
