Title: Personal website
Post by: Jhaviv on December 19, 2007, 11:04
Hello,
Although I have been in stock photography for some time, I am new to this site. I am writing to ask for your experience and advice. I am interested in establishing my own website. I have looked over several different sites that provide hosting, templates, selling options, and domain name. Would you be able to recommend sites that you think provide excellent quality and services for establishing a photographer's website, but also are not so hard on the pocket? Your comments would be welcome.
Thank you.

I use toonie hosting for my website (http://www.tooniehosting.ca/ (http://www.tooniehosting.ca/)).  Costs me 1.00/ month for my plan but I just use my website as a redirect to my zenfolio account.  I've used them for over a year now and I've been happy with them.

What is with taxes there?
Do I need to fill tax form from IRS there or they have their own on-line form like DT,SS etc.?
I am non-US based...

For all sales (like Zazzle) or just US sales?

Madelaide!

I asked their support, here is the answer:

Hi Sinisa,
Thanks for contacting SmugMug.
We don't collect sales tax on international orders. This help page explains how to get paid after you have made some sales:

I hope this has helped. If you have any questions, please let us know.

All the best,
Shay,
