When I click on Microstock group, a message from Please Donate To Bitcoin Adress appears above.
I don't think it looks reliable. I had never noticed it. Do you know what this is?

Thank you. Apparently I've only been paying attention to the topics so far. Still strange.

I always assumed it was Leafs effort to monetise the forum he created.

I asked about this a while ago and I'm pretty sure Leaf said it wasn't him, it was presumably something to do with the forum host.
If people want to support the forum, there's a Support button at the top of the page.

An sponsor advertising that went bad, I can see the ones on the right though...

I finally saved it, larger version. Only Leaf would know how the top ads are populated, maybe frm an external source.

It's been like that since the first time I saw it.

It gives the forum a somewhat unprofessional look.

Agreed - if I could figure out how to get rid of it, I would :(

I've done a thorough hunt several times for the code but didn't find it.  It should be a simple thing but it's hidden somewhere.  Thankfully i can see that no one has sent any money there.

It's probably hidden in some plug in or other app related to or connected to the site, those bitcoin scammers are pretty good at what they do, they hack into everything, got into 2FA and hacked multiple high profile Twitter accounts not too long ago, it's a nightmare with them.

Can't you ask the people who supplies the forum for advice?

I have no idea at all. Maybe I'm saying nonsense, but saw when I searched, for example here, that questions can be asked. https://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php

I don't know what a forum is like. If I change HTML in my website I can only get the old situation back if I still have the old page. I can imagine that you are careful with a forum not to make mistakes.

The strange thing is that it only shows up in Firefox I think (perhaps safari too?) It doesn't show up in Chrome or microsoft edge

Also in Chrome (when I click on "Microstock group"). My printscreen photo is made in Chrome.  It is not shown in Microsoft edge. (I've tried)

Probably adsense and paid advertiser's ads appear here on the forum.

shows up in MS edge, too

when i do a 'display source' & search for 'bitcoin', i find a section starting w

<div style="font-size:16px;margin:0 auto;width:300px" class="blockchain-btn"

with subsequent code producing the 'please donate' - appears it's not getting the proper input, so displays the broken link

you might try just commenting out the 2 script calls & the following <div> section

I am using Firefox and I don't see it, it must be something else.

I see it in a text version (as shown above) on Firefox, despite having AdBlockPro (I don't see the other ads on FF).
On my phone, where I haven't got round to installing AdBlock, I see the full graphic at the top and bottom of the page. It's something to do with something called 'Coinbase'.
I also see the graphic verson at the top and bottom of the page on Microsoft Edge, where I also don't have AdBock.
