Title: Web Application Scanner
Post by: quizzicalprivacy on May 25, 2016, 17:50
What is web application scanner? We were advised to acquire one for our business website. Our website was targeted by hackers and our data has been compromised. Confidential information were put at risk together with our customer’s details. Now we are looking for an efficient and comprehensive web application scanner. Do you have any suggestions? Preferably one that you have actually used in your system. Thanks in advance for your recommendations.

This is what Google said: A web application security scanner is a program which communicates with a web application through the web front-end in order to identify potential security vulnerabilities in the web application and architectural weaknesses.

I guess every business should have it.

Got you. I guess we're lucky that the company who made the app we use for file server auditing (https://www.beyondtrust.com/products/powerbroker-auditor-for-file-system/) has something for security scanning  too. We also got a temporary IT who can work with us to make our security better.
