Title: How to Find Which Photo was Sold?
Post by: Carl on February 01, 2011, 19:09
I just had my first sale at PM, but for the life of me, I can't find out which photo it was.  Any suggestions?   :P

Yep, they were there.  So how does it work if photos were purchased without a subscription?  Or is that even possible?

They will send you mail about any sale and info where to find it.
If it is regular sale they will send you mail shortly after that kind of sale, if it is subscription sale you will get mail for sales month before.
Anyhow it is on same place where subscription sales are. In beginning its lets say confusive  to track sales but if you define monthly period from first to fist day next month it is easy to track, like on fotolia.

Hi everybody,

since our new contributor portal is now online, the navigation has changed. Please change to the new "contributor portal" and go to "revenue -> Revenue Overview" at the bottom of the page.

Please see further info at:

Best regards,

They split subscription sales and regular sales up. Why - I have no clue, probably because of the delayed payment. Subscriptions sales should be easy to spot. Its not intuitive where regular sales are shown, either on the old site or the new one.

A little clearer wording on the menus would make this alot easier.

Hello,

Please tell me what are the "amendment images" from Contributor portal. I wonder what that means? I have a traffic light in there that shows both colors, green and red. Thank you very much.

Hi,

generally, there is the revenue overview. In this overview, you can see all different sources of income in one spot:
- image downloads paid with credits
- image downloads paid with invoice
- distribution and special license partner sales
- subscription downloads (bundled once a month, total amount of that month - for a list of all downloads, change to "subscription sales")

The amendments are remarks from our reviewers. Before we can release the images in our stock agency, you have to add some information. The amendment we need can be viewed if you move your mouse over the traffic lights. There are many reasons, e.g. add a model or property release, change or enhance keywords, questions from our editors...You can work on these images and submit them again.

Best regards,

Robert

Robert,

Will it ever be as possible to get a screen as simple as this one for showing sales?

http://www.dreamstime.com/earnings (http://www.dreamstime.com/earnings)

You'll notice everything is offered in one place.

As it is, I find the revenue overview page almost useless. Why? It gives me a euro amount nothing more. So I end up having to visit the subscription payment screen anyway to see what is selling. Then if I want to see a non-subscription sale I have to go somewhere else (to "see" what sold). At least on the old site I did. Why can't this be made so...so much simpler.

This site is a navigational nightmare. The revenue overview gives no info on which image was sold.

Same here. Sold one image, but "image" column is empty.

If it is subscription sale you can find in "Subscription sales". It appears in "revenue overview" usually one month later because "....will be calculated at the end of the next month..."
When I have nonsubscription sale I receive email with details - it is possible to find out who has downloaded your image.
But yes - navigational nightmare is right expression of the situation.
