Could anyone point me to a summary of total files approved, total files rejected and total files in review without having to go to several places and to count bars in Photodune?

I haven't been able to find anything except the accepted count in your portfolio (top of the screen in the portfolio tab).

If  you opt for the daily summary e-mails, you won't even be able to get a full list of files accepted, rejected or soft rejected - you just get 5 of (x) with the first 5 titles.

As a result of the rather limited display of stats on the site and their erratic review standards I'm doing something completely different in my tracking of uploads to PhotoDune. I just dump the aliases for files I've uploaded into one folder and do the next batch of uploads from the remainder - I don't bother to sort out what was accepted and what was rejected the way I do for all other sites.

Where a site has a consistent review policy, it's worth learning it so you avoid submitting things to them you know they don't want. When it's all a crap shoot anyway, that has no benefit.

I don't want to see rejected photos. I only want a total figure.

also a q of waiting files - their server is prickly and filezilla sometimes hangs up - but there's no way to be sure what;'s gone thru

At this point I'm not concerned about any numbers,  I'm just uploading a few and waiting to see what happens.  It would take significant sales to justify the low prices and 33% commission.

On my Author Dashboard there was a list on the left of files waiting to be reviewed. There is a portfolio tab on top with all your accepted files and a tab marked hidden with all your rejected files. There was a period when there was no hidden tab, so maybe you don't have that one until you have some rejected.

I mistyped and meant to say the files waiting to be reviewed were in a list on the "right side of the page"

nop! you cannot see the rejected files (no resubmit), you can see the ones that have someking of "flaw" and you can correct that and resubmit, havent understood how is that possible so far..

I have uploaded the initial 10 to see if could get accepted and I was..

I now have a couple of questions....

1 , do the test images go in to my portfolio or do I have to resubmit them..? ? ?.

2 I have just uploaded a small batch of images via FTP ( and after it being a bit longwinded they are now in a queue to see if they are accepted or not....if they are accepted where do i find them as I cant find a button to veiw a portfolio ? ? ?, unless thats because there are no images in it yet..

any advice help would be appreciated, steve.

you arent trying very hard too, the submission aint easy but it is quite easy to see your portfolio, just go to your "nickname" on the top right corner and a few options will show up

you need to upload the initial approval batch

yep iv'e worked that bit out.. ;) and have been to the dropdown menu on the top right of the page where there are a few options..none of them saying portfolio..if I go to author dashboard I can see the submissons being processed... but  if the first 10 submissions that were submitted for entry, dont go into your portfolio, then I suppose I have no portfolio..? I just couldn't see a button that says portfolio like on other sites thats all,

Yes, I think that will show up once you have your first files approved. And no, the initial 10 are not taken into the portfolio, you have to upload them again.

right, it is confusing at first, since you can't see some listings until later, and the need to hit 'upload' twice isnt intuitive.  once you learn its pecularities though, it's very easy to upload and review times are reasonable
