This is an introduction to learning how to embed keywords in your images in preparation for selling them on microstock or micropayment photography websites or through other stock photo agencies.

Did you miss the keyword butterfly for the butterfly ;)

Thanks for sharing, Graphically! My biggest beef about keyworking is the lack of spell checking. I find it amazing that none of the software I've found includes spell check (photoshop, bridge, lighthouse, cushy, prostock), yet every free email program comes with this feature, as does this forum. I usually type my keywords in to MSWord then copy/past into photoshop, but is a drag.

check out this keyword plug in for photoshop
keywords editor (http://www.deepperspective.com/ProductPage.asp?Product=KeywordsEditor)
It works great for stock. It deleted duplicates, spell checks, has a thesaurus, and can be run inside photoshop. I have it linked to a hotkey so it goes very quickly. You can also select templates that you previously used.

check out this keyword plug in for photoshop -- keywords editor
Thanks Leaf! This sounds perfect. When I get home tonight I'll download and give it a try and let everyone know how it works for me.

Hi...
Todd forgot to mention the biggest asset from the photoshop keywording tool, namely, you can save it as an xmp file by clicking on the richt upper triangle ( give it a name to recognize it and then save it as an xmp file), and reuse it for similar images by going back to the saved xmp files en clicking it...:-)

Leaf, how did you link it to a hotkey? Sounds like something that I need to know how to do! ;)

I install plugin (PS CS3), but cant find it in Filters menu? :-\

If there was a KeywordEditor for Mac, I'd buy it right now.

Yea, that was my problem too. I installed it right after Leaf first mention is, but could never find out how to access it. It wasn't in filters menu or any of the others that I could find. Figured it must not be compatible with cs4.

I was just keywording and "Keywords Editor" says that it is not registered. The only problem is that the developer's website is no longer there! I didn't know that there was a time limit on it... :-\
