Anyone else experiencing long review times? I've had video clips 'pending review' for over 2 weeks now. Normally they get cleared within a few days - if that.

This supposedly from P5 support team was posted in P5's forums -

"Due to an organizational restructuring, the review times for all files have been lengthened. Our curation team is going through everything as quickly and carefully as possible, with some help from a review tool from our parent company, Shutterstock. We've been informed that the current review times are:

Photo Commercial: 10 days
Photo Editorial: 16 days
Vector: 13 days
Illustration: 12 days
Video: + 1 month"

It appears most of the P5 curation team has quit/been fired/laid-off so those left are doing the best they can.

Long review times and rejections. I've never(ever) had a rejection in the last 10 years.

Yeah, those times seem to echo my experience in the last couple of months. I've been getting 3-4 weeks for photos and 4-5 weeks for videos, the same times for both commercial and editorial content.

Kinda feels like they're winding operations down. Sales have been terrible for me, but others seem to still be selling well on there.

Yeah, seeing the same thing. My videos are stuck in review way longer than before, it used to be days, now it's weeks. Im seeing the same delays in several client accounts as well. On top of that, rejections feel more random lately. Feels like the review team is either overloaded or reduced. Are you noticing this across all content types or mainly video?

Why even bother uploading? Who here is getting great sales recently that merits the uploading of new stuff to Pond5? I forgot about them already.

That was my question and the same thoughts. Slow reviews, no sales, the site is dying. Why waste time. There's no amazing comeback or turnaround in the future.

I haven't uploaded for several months but strangely, after having no sales in November and December, I had 2x sales in January for $10.76 and $69.43 commission and another 1x sale this month February for $43.42.

I have uploaded maybe 300 videos and pics since Jan 2025 but have not had a sale since October 2025 for a whopping $2.91 (video).  Going on my 4th month getting skunked there.  I wonder if their goal is to get contributors to pull their ports or close their P5 accounts.  Sure feels like it.

As a test, I did do some searches to see if/where my content comes up. It's a mix or page one and later.  So the content is there, found in the search.  Stuff that used to sell still comes up, so it feels like a shortage of customers.  Whatever it is SS has done, they killed my sales.  Even at SS for Jan I made $58 when I typically make $200. Feb is also bleak on SS, so it feels like whatever they did on P5 they are now doing on SS.  Envanto now on life support, too.

I suspect what's being seen/experienced by contributors and probably media buyers on the SS/P5/Env platforms is a reflection of the FUD (Fear Uncertainty Doubt) surrounding the long drawn-out impending merger of SS PT Env, etc. into Getty.

Their contributor and support teams appear to have been gutted and their sales teams may also be severely affected.  Likely leaving only skeleton crews for just keeping the lights on while the merger attempt grinds on.

Yeh I can't speak for Envato but don't worry cos my Shutterstock is way worse. January only made $25 with a port bigger than what averaged over $470 per month in 2023. This month February is tracking even worse at just $2.55.

Just had another sale on Pond5 earning $57.91.

Since writing this post, 5 clips have been reviewed and passed. Another 30 clips to go. Really frustrating, as the clips subject matter is a bit of a hot topic, and very few photographers and videographers have covered it in my area.

My vector pending files disappear after few days, Am I the only one?
However, it still works with photos.

Submitted 20 clips on Mar 10th 2026.

Got email notification yesterday Mar 25th of passing review.
