I went 6 weeks without a sale, and had one since. I noticed this trend started after I uploaded to gettys, although I'm not sure there is any correlation between the 2.

Has anyone else had a bad few months at pond 5? This has never happened since I started in 2016

P5 isn't horrible for me, but both SS and P5 are on a downward trend while AS is headed up.

I am uploading videos to Shutter, Adobe, Pond5, IStock, Deposit, Dreamstime - all with the same portfolio (4056 clips - 99% of the clips are 4k, 3840x2160).

From Jan-Sep 2023 I had 43% of the sales compared to Jan-Sep 2023 at Pond5, so they are almost dead for me since Feb 2023 - last sale was 7 weeks ago.

Revenue of my videos sales in 2023 are like this:
(1) 37.73% IStock
(2) 35.27% Shutter
(3) 18.12% Adobe
(4)   5.04% Pond5
(5)   2.45% Deposit
(6)   0.77% Dreamstime

Pond5 has been poor for me too. Up until last weekend I had no sales for September, then six sales over three consecutive days totalling $113.14 which at least was better than nothing prior all month. Pond5 is now my worse performing agency of the four I upload to and have a bit over 2100 clips on the port.

Pond5 isn't bad, a bit better than last year. My monthly average income for this year is 188$ for 3400 clips.

I wish contributors would include submission format with their video sales comments. Does your collection comprise all/partly/completely of HD or 4K submissions? HD, IMO, is all but dead and it's up to you to invest in new equipment and start submitting 4K clips if you expect to "enjoy" success in a similar way that you did when HD was popular. Any comments that you're making regarding video sales with any stock agency is useless if we don't know what format your video submissions are comprised of, IMO. Thanks.

I mostly submit 4K, but I mostly sell HD.  >13,000 clips with >8,000 of them in 4K.

Added the information in my post above: 99% of my clips are 4k (3840x2160)

Not a single sale this month against a normal 4-6 per month.

For this month 8 sales: 315$, looks like one of them is UHD (48$), in addition I have 12.76$ as "Subscription Earnings" (?), ~80% of my portfolio is HD.

I uploaded my port of 2400 clips, about 1000 of them approved but its bringing me $150/month now. About the same time I got my clips uploaded to gettys the slump began at pond5. I'm sure its a coincidence but I do love me a good conspiracy theory.

Since I've been uploading stock videos, I've always uploaded the same thing to Shutter, Adobe, Pond5 and iStock and had regular downloads on Pond5 up to and including January 2023.

Since February 2023, this has dropped to almost zero.

I'm sorry listening your comments and I'm probably really lucky; of course this month will be a really special and unique one, but I have to say that I'm going to reach BME on pond5, over 1k earnings.
Just to say that not all is lost, good luck to everyone

Thanks for the insight.

Their upload system is beyond frustrating, but if you have such great sales with video I will try.

I always just get the 6 cent video downloads, which dont motivate me to upload anything.

I will try to reach 1000 clips, I have around 300 now.

You are absolutely right - the upload system in DeepMeta is really not well solved in my opinion.
And the video RpD for me is $3.03 in 2023 - but I sell 5 times as many videos there as I do at AS or Shutter, whose RpD is also only $6.87 in 2023.

If you have more videos already keyworded, it could be a try :-)

I have several hundred all keyworded and ready.

I was uploading direct but metadata is noz being read. so you are seeing deepmeta will read it abd make uploading easier?

then I guess I should try that,

I used DeepMeta admittedly reluctantly, but at least it can read the metadata of videos.

So you don't have to tinker them in there individually :-)

I am using Adobe Bridge 12.0.3 with my own metadata archive.

Sometimes it is very difficult with the Bridge, because the video files are sometimes simply locked and then only a restart of the Bridge helps, but it works somehow.
But the bug has been there for years :)

I submit mostly 4K myself.   With that said there is plenty of anecdotal evidence that HD continues to be very popular. I suspect on P5 that a larger percentage of footage sales are HD vs 4K and that will likely continue for some time.

How/where is most video media consumed?  On small HD screens - smart phones, tablets, computer monitors, and most TV's with 4K TVs gaining but not getting full traction with the bulk of TV consumers as industry had hoped.  HD works just fine on the small screen real estate devices that are so ubiquitous.
