I'm having issues all the time with FTP uploading. I'm using Filezilla client, every setting is fine, and my files are keep being uploaded over and over again. It's stuck in an infinite loop. I don't want to upload all my materials one by one, but I'm constantly having issues with batch uploading. I sent a message to the support too, but I haven't got any helpful reply.

Any suggestions?

I can't really help much other than to say you are not alone, I have the same issues uploading video clips to Pond5 using FTP using Filezilla. This has been happening for a year or more.

I upload video to Shutterstock and Adobe using the same files and settings with no difficulty.

I don't upload large batches of clips, so I get round it by either:

1.  Supervising the FTP upload and manually stopping the re-upload of a file immediately after it has been correctly uploaded for the first time.
2.  Using the Web page upload, which is usually successful first time.

Occasionally a 'duplicate file' error is generated by the Pond5 system. In this case I rename the file to make it unique (usually be adding '_A' to the file name. This is sufficient to fool the Pond5 server into thinking it is an entirely different file.

I've never bothered chasing up Pond5 support as I only deal in small quantities and I can easily work round the issues. I can imagine it is a real pain for people uploading large numbers of clips.

I routinely upload to P5 from my Mac via Fetch, both stills and videos. Never had any problem with it.

I wondered that too but was too polite to ask.   ;D

Also wondered how long it then took to process each and every one of those files once they landed on the site. I find P5 relatively simple in that regard, but still  almost 13,000 files to process at once?  :o

I too routinely upload videos to Pond5, via FileZilla FTP, as many as 6-8 video files at once - never had any problems , reviewed usually within 5 business days

You can drag and drop  to POND5 upload page multiple files simultaneously. No slower really than FTP.

13K is different but i routinely upl 500-1000/mo - i didnt do anything on P5 for yrs because of their miserable submission process but they've fixed that - i just assign a category in bulk ('misc' , 'travel' or equiv and never had a rejection for that).

the only hassle is that when you submit a batch, if there is 1 error (too many keywords, or missing metadata) the entire batch is rejected until it's fixed - they should be able to add the non-problem ones like most every other agency. so i usually submit 200 at a time.

Recenly started uploading to pond5 and could not find a reliable way to do so.  Tried to upload about 30 files on the web, it fails after 10-15 files were sent.  I see this problem every time.  With filezilla, after successful transfer of the first few it will keep reuploading the same file over and over.  Provided observation to pond5 support they blame it on me, even though I had no issue uploading to other stock sites using web or ftp.  The problem is obvious and I have a suspicion on whats wrong.  For example, the repeating FTP upload problem was documented as a potential server setting issue as described https://forum.filezilla-project.org/viewtopic.php?t=34376.  Only took 2 min of googling but pond5 support never bother investigating further and just blame it on the end user.

I had same problem with FileZilla.   Started using WinSCP for FTP'ing to P5.

No more problem.

Ive tried that in the past and found it very problematic. Ive found that stock agency upload pages are usually fine for submitting photo files. But generally unreliable and buggy when submitting video files.

(spoiler - it's a small self-promotion) If you upload via Xpiks Cloud, we retry FTP upload until it succeeds on our side. So you only upload once to our (hopefully) reliable storage, and then we deal with Pond5.

I have no problems uploading to pond5, one of the easiest systems with batch processing tools.

However, I rarely submit more than 20 clips at once.

Thanks for the recommendation. Ive been using Stocksubmitter with good success. Ive just about given up using the upload page for submitting videos.
