Hi All, I am new to isolation on white technique. Please critique and what can be improved. How can I improve the composition as well for Food Photography. I am unable to travel that often to take travel pics so in order to keep contributing to stock I am thinking of food photography. 1)  2)  3)  4)

Wanted to check if stocksy allows editorial content. I see few pictures of monks, people etc. I really doubt if they woul have signed Model Release. If yes then how do you approach unknown person for MR?

Not sure what has happened. Not getting any sale at this site anymore. Use to get regular sales till Aug but after that it is totally dry. I have added around 50 pics during that time but still zilch.

I always thought and was getting on demand download payout as 1.88. Today I got 0.81.
Does anyone know what is the payout for on demand?
Can it change?

I have finally hit my first target to get 100 pics online. It took me 3 mths but I have learnt gradually what is accepted and what is not. Hopefully the number of online files will grow much faster now. I want to gauge my portfolio and want to know what kind of $$s were you making when you had 100 pics online?

Hi all,
What is the best way/easiest way to remove the brand names from the photograph so that they are not rejected for copyright?
Recently my images of high rise got rejected by most of the sites citing trademark issue. Then I looked closely, the name of few aircons was easy visible. The high rise is not a famous building. It is just another building so I am pretty sure it is not rejected for copyright of the building. One of a similar photo got accepted and sold as well on SS.
I am looking for easy way to delete/remove these names/logos etc

I think symbiostock solves one issue with direct single sellers by providing the links to other portfolios but don't you think buyers get a better deals like 25a day and other cheaper versions from big companies.
BTW I am all for selling direct and would start mine once I get enough sales from my portfolio (Newbie here).

Had my first sale from my 21 pic portfolio in iStock. It was for 0.98c. Is there a way to check how much was it actually sold? What is the normal payout? I thought iStock pays much more but looks like I was wrong

I started uploading images to Alamy. I have some images that are RF on SS but were rejected by some other agencies citing the reason that they see people in that image. Now if I have to submit these to Alamy, should I mark these as RM?
What is the workflow for you to upload images to Alamy because they reject all the images in the submission even if one doesn't pass QC

Is there a way to check which keyword from photo was searched that provided you a download? In the iPhone app for shutterstock there is a place holder to click top keyword but that doesn't work for me

Some of my photos of colloseum have been rejected by shutterstock stating that they can't accept the picture due to absence of property release but they have been accepted but some others.
What is the criteria? Why is it not consistent across all? Is it sth that we as a contributor need to be careful that we should not submit?

I have posted editorial images following the guideline given in shutterbuzz. I still got rejected. This time they have asked sth different.
Pls. put full date/year & location [CITY, STATE/COUNTRY - MONTH DAY: Factual description of the image content on [month day, year] in [location]. Qualifying newsworthy second sentence (if necessary).
They need me to put month day, year in the factual description.

I finally got selected in shutterstock and iStock. My portfolio. http://www.shutterstock.com/gallery-1249963p1.htmlI have few questions. 1) I am not a regular photographer as it takes a lot of time for the entire process. Should I load my portfolio to all the websites? I am currently on fotolia as well. 2) I had few sales in fotoli 13c each and shutterstock it is 25c each is this the payout most of you het and shutterstock. Fotolia the payout is around
