General Stock Discussion / I was given 10.000 videos lol
« on: July 23, 2022, 18:50 »
I have friends that work in the artificial intelligence field, they record thousands of videos and images so that they can train the A.I to recognize things on it's own.
Today I saw the folder of one of my friends and suggested them that they should upload it to microstock websites, they weren't interested, thought it was too much of a hassle and told me "You can do it if you want".
So now I have a folder containing 10.000 videos, most of them being 1920x1080 (Some are 4k) lol. (Example of what the videos look like: https://stock.adobe.com/video/large-crocodile-lies-in-the-water-panorama-over-the-body-of-a-crocodile-panning-shot-of-an-alligator-laying-in-the-swamps-alligator-is-a-large-crocodile-in-the-water/209268716?prev_url=detail)
Seems like the main website that I will be using is adobe stock, shutterstock only allows 100 videos a week so it will take me years to upload everything, my 123rf submissions are still stuck on 'Pending' for about a month now, and from what I read here the other websites have very low sales, so it's not even worth uploading there.
So the question is... How much you think I'm going to be making? I know the industry isn't like what it once was, but I except atleast a couple hundred dollars every month, since the videos sells better than photos.
The reason why I'm writing this thread is because I started uploading 2 weeks ago, I have around 5000 videos in the portfolio and I made a grand total of:

So my exciting is turning to disappointment, anyone with experience here can tell me if it gets better??
Thank you!
