I had a period of over 48 hrs without a single download on SS over the weekend. I don't remember the previous time I even went 24 hours without a sale. Not good.

Microstockr keeps showing a lurch in new sales - but the bottom line barely moves.

Canva / Re: Canva

It really is exceptionally annoying to see my work that has been selling very well on Canva being steadily deleted from my portfolio. Clearly, it's a policy decision - but I fail to see the logic..

When uploading to iStock is no longer a mystery to you, be assured it will always remain a misery.

Those FB SOD's seem to have vanished just as quickly as they arrived :-(

Perhaps even more interesting was the announcement that there will be no further marketing of Dollar Photo Club. I just looked at their FB page and there haven't been any updates for over three months.

today I noticed that my ranking has changed from silver to gold. Normally I needed 10,000 dl,s (4 subs = 1 dl).
But now they are counting every sub as one dl. Since when has this changed?

Has your royalty rate increased on today's downloads..?

Hi Matt, I'm still not seeing any rise in royalty payments. When should I see a difference..?

I care exactly because I am a member

Prove it.

Lol, you are joke. :) What am I supposed to do, copy paste from their forums? I can do that for you, but I just didn't want to intrude on ppls stocky insider stuff.

Okay, since you're content hiding behind the comfort of anonymity, let's pretend you are a Stocksy member.  That would mean you're also a part owner of the company.  Since you're such a big fan of the co-op business model, what have you done to contribute?  Have you proposed any resolutions?  Voted at the meetings?  Participated in any forum discussions?  Responded to any requests for community input?  Contacted HQ with ideas?  Have you done anything at all besides bash the company any chance you get?

I did vote previously. But when one of their meetings ended, they wrote on the site that they wouldn't post a transcript, like they promised, (because it would be long and boring or some similar excuse), but instead we get  a "kick-ass" summary. Woo-hoo. Also a few times I got the rejection for some shots that tehy 'don't want peopole juts posing by themselves without context, because that's contrived and too ordinary-stock-like'. Than I visited stocksy front page and the curated collection there was loaded with shots of peple  posing alone, pretty forced (vsisbly amateur models). After reading, seeing all of that I decided to stay away from the whole thing beyond uploading and the most necessary communication with the so called "curators" :)

...and before you start whining again: I have good acceptance % there. I looked around and it was very clear that most ppl get a lot less shots from their series accepted then me - but sorry, other people's gullibility won't change my opinion.

Interesting. So, you have never voiced out your dissatisfaction there, never participate in the forum except lurking and come whining here.

You might want to read my post again (or just read it). I don't start conversing with ppl who talk like that. If I want to hear more "kick ass" deals, I'll watch TV shop or ads for payday lenders.

Seriously?? You refused to talk to them just because they don't talk the same way as you??? Come on, you should have better reason for avoiding talking to them.

He refuses to talk because he doesn't want to talk. He wants to Troll.

Considering that all everyone will get 33% maybe the accounts stepping up to Silver have something to do with that and it is easier just to bump a ranking than changing anything else?

Though jumped to silver, I don't see any revenue changes in today's downloads.

Some of the images are taken with an Iphone 4. Some shots are taken in a studio at  ISO 1000. Some images taken with an 1Ds III + EF 135mm f/2L USM looking like I took them on my 450D with an 18-55 kit lens. I am still shocked. I had no idea that the micros had such high standards compared to what I am seeing now. I am a lot less worried about my technical skills, thats for sure. All I need to work on is my story telling.

Don't forget the emotion, a pineapple that can make your heart bleed is your minimum requirement.  No really, I once went to the Tate and saw what I perceived to be a glass of water, yet it was apparently an oak tree, and the greater the price the older and grander the oak will be.  Once you get an handle on these concepts you will be an artist for sure and Stocksy will come knocking on your door.

After the comments he left on CM I suspect it will be a long, long time before Stocksy come knocking.

It's a issue too that 123rf pop up the capcha at every refresh

If the 123rf bottom line changed as often as the Captcha I wouldn't mind quite so much ;-)

Hi all,

FYI, out of the entire collection of images that are approved for the free section only 3 images are made available to download each week (that's 3 total, not 3 of yours). Even if you mistakenly submit an image with the free section option set to yes and find that the image is refused for the standard collection but then approved for the free section the odds of it being downloaded are pretty low.

That being said, it is important that you check the settings before you submit. If you are concerned that you have a batch of images that were submitted to the free section shoot me an email and I'll be happy to have the tech team remove them all.

-Mat

Hi Matt, why don't you shoot the tech team an email and ask them to iron out this 'bug' instead?

I refreshed the browser on my sales chart - and watched a sale disappear yesterday! Access is sporadic today and slow at best.

Veer / Re: Veer sales nowadays

nobody, but nobody is going to take the time to review keywords of uploaded images at Veer given the return there.

hello,

is there a way to reorder keywords with the new design of Fotolia or or doesn't matter anymore?

thanks

What's this got to do with Deactivation Day..?

Sales at SS will be down by about 30% on what I might usually expect. ODDs and SODs are way down, EL's are non existent.

I'd really like to start selling direct and as a consequence I've seriously considered having a Symbiostock website.  However, I've watched the Symbiostock shenanigans as an outsider all these months and, to be perfectly honest, the whole thing looks like a bit of a shambles. I may be wrong, but it appears that the developers are a brittle, bickering bunch who change direction at the drop of a hat and leave their user base high and dry at a moments notice.

Given this history, you'd really struggle to get me to sign up to Symbiostock. Stability and consistency are basic requirements from any potential business partner and I really don't see much evidence of that with Symbiostock. I'm afraid any enthusiasm or confidence I had in Symbiostock has pretty much evaporated.

Forgive me if I have misinterpreted what I've read here and elsewhere - and please feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

I had some stuff approved on 21st - it's still nowhere to be seen. Also, the reviewer missed one of the images and it's still sitting in the queue to be reviewed. Something doesn't feel quite right...

Newly uploaded images disappearing into the ether too.

I've asked Linda from Yay several times to release the pennies I've earned there and close my account. I've done so in this forum in threads where she's been active. She has simply ignored my requests.

I would advise anyone to avoid uploading to Yay. Their practices are dubious and the effort to upload far, far outweighs any meagre financial reward.

iStockPhoto.com / Re: Tax Interview
February 25, 2015, 09:25
I realised the email from Getty informing me that my Tax Interview was missing the TIN was *probably* related to my Getty account rather than my Istock account. I say *probably*, because the email wasn't clear. I've completed the Tax Interview for Getty now, as well as redoing the Istock one. Hopefully, this 'belt and braces' approach should do the trick. God, I hate Getty and Istock..

Yep, I've just been emailed and asked to complete the interview - but I did mine a couple of weeks ago too. I just did the whole thing over again. There seems to be no obvious confirmation that it has been submitted or accepted.
