sue..
Your questions are really hard to answer from a Scandinavian point of view.
it is like they (the questions) are not real and also mixed in a strange way.
Like the problems you suggest are not important here.

There are no problems retaining the workforce here.
Teaches work more than people think.
Excluded from the wage is (like in Australia) retirement  and vacation money.
Keeping their knowledge updated is not a problem for teachers or nurses.

Ill be happy to answer any specifik question from you that I can understand.

Photoshop Discussion / Re: Music while photoshopping
« on: January 05, 2013, 10:42 »
I watch movies while I photoshop.
Like let them play in the background and flicker back and forth.
Right now its Veronica Mars, so I dont get much photoshopping done.

Of all the places I've been, Denmark is the place I'd choose to live and happily pay the taxes to make it like that.

:-)

I suggest you make a homepage with links to the violating ports on the different sites.
Details such as number of files and online time will be important.

+ a call for copyright owners and a contact adress where the copyright owners can contact you.
I think the settlement will be based on how long the fraud files has been online, if not directly on the income made from them.
The copyright owners and the agency might want to form an alliance.

1157
What is your message, Race?

1158
It seems that people are afraid of posting in this thread.
I can understand why.

1159
Clearly there is a lawsuit against both the copyright violator and the distributing agency.
BOTH.

I suggest you copyright owners gather up and file a lawsuit. There can be a lot of money there.
You are both being copied and redistributed.

And if you have informed the distributing agency, they cannot claim they were innocent.

The agency might be interested in setteling the matter with an agreement. Their problem will be if you represent all the copyright owners, or if there will be further demands in the future.
So settle, and they will have precedence. Which can limit and control the damages.

What I dont understand is, why they dont clean up their communication.
That would be relatively easy.
Like being a little proactive with an above perspective.

They could get rid of all the conspiracy theories, and they could become trustworthy.
But they dont, and never did.
So either they are utterly incompetent, at the level of high school kids, or they have the spin going exactly as they want.

I can understand a "divide and conquer" spin, but I cannot understand a downwards spiral spin.

It is characteristic, that their extremely sensored forums, compared to shutters not sensored forums, are so full of people complaining, whereas shutters are full of joyfull people.
Now, why is that? I just wonder.
Is it sheer mistrust?

Does censorship fuel mistrust.
Like USSRish?

ja that sounds nasty and big.

But please, can you explain to us photographers and laypeople, what a warped vector is.
I mean what have they done to the original files?

Cameras / Lenses / Re: Nikon d 600, any experience?
« on: January 02, 2013, 08:33 »
sure, oil is not so easy to remove.

Anyway, does someone have a full size file from a d 600.
And how about noise and iso performance.

Everything sells well with iStock if you are an exclusive. Thats the problem.
The greenhouse effect so to speak.

or we can say... that istock pays a high price for having exclusives, and opposite:
The exclusives pay the highest price.

These days, as for NOW, when I look at shutterstock images, they so far surpas istock, both by relevancy and quality.
The buyers wont pay for old frames and dust and hear say in happy communities.

Shutterstock.com / Keyword BETA
« on: January 02, 2013, 02:51 »
Have you tried the new keyword beta on shutter?
I find it excellent, and easy.

And The selected images are SO GOOD.
Not only good but also relevant.
I wonder how they searched through the keyword spam, but they did.

No wonder why Shutter beats them all.

Cameras / Lenses / Nikon d 600, any experience?
« on: January 01, 2013, 13:32 »
Im close to buying a nikon d 600.

But but.
I have examined the d 800 files at 100 % and they are really not that impressive.
But would the d 600 files be worse or better.
Until now I have used nikon d 200 and various lenses.
it works. I get the pictures I want, I get them noisefree and shining despite that the camera is from 2005.
Isnt that amazing?
So if any of you have tried, or have first hand files and want to share, please do.

« on: January 01, 2013, 11:56 »
Shutter sales going up on sep, oct, nov but a bit down in dec
is sales down as always every month.
Dt underperforming.
Fot fine but unstable.

So December conclusion: average to the low side.

so if the ss average sale is 2,36
and my average income pr picture is 0,79
the percentage is about 29%
Thats much better than 16%

And income pr picture is rising at ss.
