seriously.. the more pro you are the more liar you are right?

70-80 sales... make it 75
365 days... make it 260 (average week days in a year)

1 year = 75 x 260 = 19500
2 years = 39k sales

right :D

(sorry but I cannot hold myself)
I know you are quoting Lagereek's figures and not mine but mine were similar.   I didn't mean that I had those figures for years but there was certainly at least a year when I did those sort of numbers just about every week day.   Sad to see how bad things have gone.

I'm a diamond indie.  In the good old days I was selling 60 -70 images a day.  So far this year I have sold a total of 14 images.!!!...

This is a weird sort of reverse bragging, but my total (another diamond indie) in 2012 is 28 images - it really is a very sad thing to measure just how down things are
LOL at least that made me laugh

My sympathies for your situation - but I don't understand the logic here.

If you pull your port from IS then they will remove all your images from the PP too.  So why wait for them to be transferred?
You are absolutely right but I suppose that I am living with some hope that things will change before then.   Also they don't seem to be in any hurry to move them over to the partner sites so at the moment I have nothing to lose.

...anybody over 10k $ that havent received?
Multiple times, no card.  >:(
Same here.  Been over 10.000 for years but didn't get one.

Ditto, could have qualified at that level multiple years.
No, I meant way over $10,000 last (this) year.
Yes I made over 10,000 last year also but like somebody says maybe they are taking  a long while to get to europe.

Christian, I'm pretty sure you're wrong about spreading stuff around. The most scientific microstocker alive is Arcurs, he calculates everything to maximise profit, and he believes in supplying every single site he can.
+1
I don't agree at all. I think that many customers stick with one site and don't ever consider going elsewhere so if you haven't got your images there then they won't get bought.  A few people might shop around to find the cheapest site for an image but it would actually cost them more in time than what they can save by buying the image cheaper so only small time buyers, bloggers etc are likely to do that.

I will still be going from 18% to 17%, pathetic!!!!!!  Even sites like 123rf and bigstock are starting to catch up

^ It surprises me too.

Although I don't have anything personal against SS, and they do what they do well without too many complications, if I could have one new years wish it'd be that SS ceased trading. Most people won't understand this but it would benefit us all.
Yes, I agree with you to a certain extent as long as thinkstock go as well.  As far as I am concerned they are taking sales from places where we could earn a lot more money.  The only place that pays decent money for subs is  DT where they more often than not pay me more than a $ for a sub dl.
This month so far average earnings per sale 62c with SS and nearly 3$ with DT.

1213
I'm always surprised when contributors send buyers to SS just becuase they sell more there.  I send buyers to Dt where I make 3x more per DL than I do at SS. Just because you sell more images there doesn't make it the best place for you to sell images.

No problem here with submit or the buying side for me.

You might also consider only giving the models copies of pictures you don't intend to use yourself.
That is what I was going to say.  If they give you a modelling session for free then don't let them have those images but do them another session for themselves. Or do half and half in one session.

Yes I was pleased to be able to join in on this last year and would love to again.

1217
Really not worth worrying about, they don't sell anything.  I uploaded all my best sellers to them at the same time as 5 or 6 other sites.  Have had hundreds of sales from the others and one measly sale from Zoonar.

Yes, it's happening to everybody.  They're talking about it in the November problem thread in the IStock forums.

My best seller hasn't sold for 4 days now.  Not even once!!!  My sales are so low that I am selliing about the same as my best seller used to sell daily.
I've now been hit hard by both Fotolia and Istock.

None of the best match shifts had hit me too badly in the last year or so but the last couple of days have been a complete disaster.  3 dls yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.  My best seller which sells 5 - 10 times daily didn't sell at all.  I don't even want to go in and see where it is in the search.

I also gave up trying to get it to upload correctly.  I may have another go some time but got so frustrated with it that I decided to leave it for a while.

Adobe Stock / Re: Price set back to 1 Credit
« on: November 04, 2011, 17:41 »

Thanks for the explanation. I'm far from emerald (I think) and I guess I'll have to cancel them soon since they are selling my best seller (level 5 on Dreamstime) far too cheap at 1 credit.  ;D

That's ironic considering that they plan on knocking our images back to 1 credit if we sell them on other sites for less than they do.

Dreamstime.com / Re: Cannot Recommend Dreamstime
« on: November 04, 2011, 03:28 »
I was completely unaware of the fact that higher level images equals more downloads on the buyer end as well.

I guess that's only fair.
I think that the DT is the best and fairest system of all of the sites.  I wish that I could afford to go exclusive with them without losing too much earnings. It would save a lot of headaches from all the other sites.

1224
Me too.  I remember once coming up with a great concept and later saw that somebody had copied it.   I was really annoyed until I looked at the dates and theirs was in fact uploaded before mine.

Level 5 subs bring in over a dollar so even with subs my RPD is way higher than anywhere else.
