It's still tempting. Look at this https://www.dreamstime.com/stock-images-eiffel-tower-night-light-paris-france-image20029204
192 downloads, but it's prohibited on SS and Adobe.

127
Yeah. If I were a customer, and find some images that fit my needs, I would probably even go for the one that's "never been used", instead of using the one that everybody else does.

In this case SS needs to add an ability to sort images by unpopularity

It's still tempting. They have 100+ sales!

129
I don't see how this has any affect on my port.
Probably in the same way as that stupid personalization SS wants us to have. Who cares about my profile photo?

130
Bu what if the property owner finds my photos, let say of Dreamstime? Will I be in trouble or Dreamstime?

131
I'm referring to Known Image Restrictions - Places and Landmarks - Europe and Africa https://support.submit.shutterstock.com/s/article/Known-Image-Restrictions-Places-and-Landmarks-Europe-and-Africa?language=en_US

It looks like other sites don't care about this? For example "Blenheim Palace" is restricted for SS, but plenty of images on Dreamstime?

Any experience?

General - Top Sites / Re: copy keywords from other people ?

Guilty, Your Honor. I want to upload a photo of a "sliced tomato" for a first time, why would I reinvent a wheel? I grab keywords from top images, sort them, takes keywords that I don't like and could add mine keywords. Keep in mind that English is not my first language. I may just don't know the words that describe "sliced tomato" in details.

purple basil eggplant and tofu with sauce

Popularity: score High, Usage score: High usage!  Someone is getting rich!

Keywords are killing everything. Could you guess what's on photo below based on description and keywords?

"Korea buffet dessert food table"

"breads, buffet, bulgogi, cake, chinese new year, cookies, culinary, dessert, dim sum, food, fried, fruit, galbijjim, grape, ice cream, japanese, jokbal, kiwi, korea buffet, korea pancake, korean, korean traditional food, orange, pineapple, rib, salad, stewardess, tiramisu cake, tofu, tofu sandwich, tomato sauce bottle, trotter, vanilla, vegetable, yogurt"

Hint: only two keywords are related to the photo  :)

Yesterday I uploaded two photos of "raw pork knuckle" with a completely different backgrounds. One approved and another rejected for "Similar Content". The background is completely deferent, anyway they caught as similar. Keywords for backgrounds are different.

139
Anyway it's easy to shoot "sliced tomato". You could borrow title and key words from Mr Pork Knuckle and upload one photo every other week hoping to strike gold.

These are things that anyone serious should actually avoid and not waste their time, but people keep shooting and shooting and wonder why their RPI isn't so good?
Isn't it the newest SS plan about? I mean resetting the level every new year and asking people for a new photos of "sliced tomato"

140
Now about the Pork Knuckle Guy?

47 of the same red ripe big juicy tomato isolated!

Not for me. Almost the same numbers for the last few months

142
I should hit level 4 by the end of today. 4 more to go.

50 more for me to reach level 4

143
I upload to Adobe, Dreamstime, 123 and Deposit but none of them are selling either.
I stopped uploading to Dreamstime, 123 and Deposit. It's waste of time.

144
I had a few singles sold this month. The average now is 66 cents. I'm slowly stopping to upload a new photos.

I slowly keep uploading, but getting almost the same money every month since January 2021.

Mine is around 33% too. I have one photo that has 30 view, but 150 sales! Based on the report I know the buyer is from the same place, but why they both >100 of them? License?

147
I reached level 3. "25% royalty earnings as of Jan 13",  and half of today's downloads are still 10 cents.

148
I'm getting closed to level 3 and 10 cent sales keep coming

149
I have never had a good travel photos, but reading Brasilnut user reports posted on "Alexandre Rotenberg's Brutally Honest Guide to Stock Photography & Footage", I could see that his travel portfolio was hard hit by lockdowns.

What recession? Canada is not in a recession at the moment. Neither is the US...

The portfolio could be around content that is not popular right now. For example travel.
