You forgot to pimp an image

LOL!!
See I knew you like my "Pimping" images
You miss it, come on admit it.
You love to see what Ill "Pimp" next
:)

besides All my "pimped" images fit which ever topic I am talking about at the moment, pretty nifty huh?

Well if I posted my Stock Income, I would be yelled at by various obnoxious people who hide behind screen names and do not post links to their galleries or anything real.
So lets just say Shutterstock - Best Month Ever, Dreamstime -got a payout over the minimum, 123royalty free - ugh (well I only have a few images there anyway), Istock - Negligible (I quite uploading to them years ago and only have a few images there), Lucky Oliver - STOLE MY COMMISSONS and left the building a few years ago, the others I don't even check most of the time.

All in all it was an Awesome Month
It was already posted on the SS forum you make 10k per month.

Come on Ron.  If you really read Jeff's post, you'd know the $10K figure was not microstock income, but income from his photo booth and related activities.  He apparently did hit the 100,000 download number, which is not unique, but is sufficiently rare that it warrants a congratulation.

The 100,000 (now +) download milestone is 100% correct.
That is just 1 thing I am quite proud of.
I know others have reached that # before me, and I am very glad for them and anyone who can make $$$ at this business.
I wish everyone who puts in the Time, Energy and Dedication it takes to hit these #'s all the very best.
It's not easy but it is possible
There are a few rabble rousers who never have anything nice to say, due to jealousy and lack of original ideas etc. they often like to hide behind screen names and not put their galleries or real stats up  due to the ever popular No and Low sales

but then again

I am the best

Thanks

I've noticed a couple of posts have mysteriously disappeared, no locking, no lobo rant, just sneakily gone - does this happen a lot on the forum?

YEP!
If Someone doesn't like you or your post "Someone" deletes them

LOL!

Of course my post will be gone soon!

LOL

Then again that shows you how special This site is

UFO's are Everywhere!
You just have to look for them and be ready with your camera.

Real UFO captured flying above my house, the Air Force and other officials would neither confirm nor deny the evidence presented before them in my photos.

But I know they are Real!
I have Proof!!!!

Gift Horse?
Boy oh boy it sure looks to me that the lot of you see Stock Photography as a Gift Horse.
Remember the old saying "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth"

Seriously
What did you do Before you started selling Stock Photos?
Are you really that tied into what you earn on stock photos or do you (like me) enjoy the income as one of your Multiple Income Streams?

I see so many people crying about sales down or non existent, but they never do anything about it.
Try going out and TAKING MORE SELLABLE PHOTOS!!
I have Over 11,000 Fantastic Quality Images that Sell like Hot Cakes!
But then again I am the Best!

Is this post supposed to be a joke?  Hard to believe it is intended to be taken seriously.

ETA:  Just checked out your "Fantastic Quality Images that Sell like Hot Cakes" on Shutterstock.  http://www.shutterstock.com/portfolio/search.mhtml?gallery_username=mikeledray&page=1
Now I know the answer to my question.

Thank you

 :)

The way I see it, the Customers who purchase Stock Images are going to stick to buying the at the CHEAPEST PRICES they can.
Its just business, no matter what value anyone else perceives their images to be worth. They are only worth what someone will pay for them.

143
Yuri and I started at the same time back in 2004/2005
He has done Amazingly well in this industry, he has my respect in that aspect.
Infact one of his early post was something to the effect of "Mike Ledray has 500 images on Shutterstock, I hope to catch up one day"
Well I say he caught up and surpassed me long ago! Good Job Amigo.
Yuri pulling his images out of Shutterstock and causing the Stock Price to go down 12%? I find that a bit arrogant and probably not quite correct (in my un educated opinion on the stock market)
I own SS Stock, bought it the first day, it was up 107% the other day from when I purchased my stock, it has gone up and down 12-20% by itself as the stock market does. It is currently up 86% from when I bought mine. If it goes down to $28.00 per share again ill be buying MORE MUCH MORE!
I say Shutterstock is the greatest stock site on earth. Sure they are making a profit, so am I, with my 11,000+++ images that sell daily, over and over again.
I wish Yuri all the best in the future and hope his decisions work out for him in a good way.
I love this business and photography in general and have fun creating concepts and shooting stock.

:)

145
one of my favorite models

146
TFCD only

but if your paying $65.00+ per hour I am willing to model for you if your in So California

I model alot for my own and others galleries

147
I LOVE Shutterstock.

But you all know that already
Heck with 10,324 (and growing) images in my gallery's as apposed to a few hundred at Istock, Dreamstime, Canstock, Fotolia, 123 royalty free, bigstock, and what ever other sites I'm on I forgot about I am basically already exclusive with SS (by choice)
They make uploading easy, no limits, Sales a AMAZING DAILY, The forums are awesome, the submission process even though can be time consuming is easy and works like clock work, I get my monthly pay outs with no issues ever.
Life is good on Shutterstock if you ask me

:)

148
Yeah I did see weird stuff happening - most popular pages sometimes have a God-awful images included <snip> Or some set of portfolios that clearly doesn't include mine:)

This is obviously the case...after all Mike Ledray's shots "Sell like hotcakes"  ;)

WOW!
Me mentioned by some unknown random person on here
Thats so cool!

149
That said, check out this ad, which I'd say is over the line:
http://adweek.blogs.com/adfreak/2011/03/law-firm-ads-911-firefighter-wasnt-at-911.html

That is an outright endorsement, putting words into the model's mouth. The concept is also incredibly tasteless and inconsiderate but I guess that's what happens when lawyers and ad agencies put their heads together. Perhaps they should change it to show Mike Ledray in his gas mask with a photo of Fukushima nuclear power plant.

LOL!

you mean like THIS?

Thanks for the mention
:)
