What is mystery to me is, why are customers willing to pay 200$ for a photo that can be bought for a few bucks on a microstock site.

It wouldn't. I think what he meant was, that the file would be moved to prime AFTER customer license it. The customer would still get file with core price. 1279

Holy cow!
You don't have to request money. It's automated process if at the end of the month you reached your payout limit! 1280

Ofcourse reviewer will notice if you upload two identical images at the same time. But what, if you upload one today, second 5 months from now, third 10 months from now, and with a port of 15.000+ photos, how is he going to check if those images were already upload? Of course its possible, but review time would take months.
Some software similar to google image search would be only solution... Uploading same image twice can be mistake, but 4,5 times? And I'm not talking about similars or different post-processing but identical images. 1282

Your logic is just stupid. You really expect for reviewer to check all the photos that are submitted if they are already online. What would then review time be? Half a year?

I don't think tax form has to do anything with payment.

General Stock Discussion / Re: 500px beside microstock ?« on: February 14, 2016, 12:04 »
Yeah, I know that you have to wait 40 days before transaction is completed. Long time to wait, I first thought that the sale didn't go through, but then I read FAQ and saw you have to wait 45 days for transaction to be completed.
Anyway, my first payout request, I hope there are more to come. Thanks for the info. 1288

I don't think popularity has much to do with sales. People will buy images they need, not images that they like. And they will search for them through keywords.
I had a sale of a file that had pulse only "25". 1290

Those who are willing to pay for image will pay for it. Those who want to steal it will do it anyway.

While January was one of my best months, February is complete oposite. As if sales dried up over night. It looks like it's going to be one of my worst months. Also almost no credit sales, which I had almost on daily basis before. I don't know, what's going on there.

My views are way above average too. Same thing happened just before christmas, unusually high number of views but slow sales.

What I do is find some similar photos on fotolia or shutterstock or whatever agency and then check them keywords an copy those that I find apropriate for image that I am going to upload.
