Less and less photos on a top of Fotolia every month. Illustrations seems to take over this site (I count isolation as non-photo too). It seem like they no longer want "raw produce" they need fully processed one :-)

For me is still BME but I am starting from zero so I got 50% more every month and still it's 1/10th of what I got from SS :-)

I just wonder how multi-language sites are dealing with keywording?

Effectively cause long weekend is coming here in US. I am not expecting much more downloads. My top 3 got BME and all others are down.

Some of my pictures in rejected queue got this description: "This media file is not rejected. It is currently being transferred to another server."
Nothing is happening for last couple days.

I've just started 4 months ago so I cannot upload to many photos (see rejection threads :-)) I got 170 photos and only 23 downloads (none this month). I feel like I came to late when I heard that somebody has 7K pictures there ;-)

Maybe cause they do not like landscapes or hdr?

I got 100% of them rejected as overabundant and at the same time they took couple of my object photos. I guess need to switch to macro of objects.

Then it will not allow you to submit cause it's too long. I must happened recently cause I was not a problem before.

I thought you are search engine for stock photos. You cannot re-sell pictures from Dreamstime for $500, right? Last time I checked there was clear distinction between micro and macro search. You do not mix them on one page, right? I am curious how I could set my own prices unless Iwould be able to contribute thru Brightqube?

@icefront: I think that contributors are just suppliers of the goods and only buyers are really customers for agencies. Supplier is nowadays overabundant resource so agencies can focus mostly on fighting for customers. So I do not agree that customers are treated like contributors cause agencies would start loosing them.
@RT: Interesting analogy, unfortunately everybody is going this way with introduction of subs on almost any major site.

It's like developing brand. One day you might want to have website, domain name or company registered. It also should help search engines to find you. If you got six different names for different sites it would not be easy to find you. http://www.google.com/search?q=melastmohican

I just burned two DVD for sending. I put text file with information they require on one of DVDs. No photos with model releases and all pictures got IPTC metadata. I guess it should be enough for them?

Funniest thing is when I got series of let's say 4 photos and all of then got rejected because they are to similar ;-) I think one should be accepted to make their statement true ;-)

For me IS is like 1000x worse than SS. 123RF and StockXpert usually yield 1/10 of what I got from SS every month. DT is slightly better than IS :-) This month I got zero from FT, BS, FP and CS. It's not hard to figure out a relation here. Higher rejection rate is the main reason in my case. It's hard to make any money if you got 4 pictures accepted in a month :-) I probably be dead before I got portfolio similar to SS on IS :-)

For last 4 months I have been uploading same photos to top 10 sites. It's amazing that I was able to sell almost 2000 subs on SS while other sites either rejected most of these photos or sold 100 times less. It this because SS got customers who are looking for pictures in my niche of photography?

At first this item looked like a good idea at a reasonable price ($35). I do not have much space at home but I want to learn how to photograph small objects. The tent is decent and the portability is excellent. However, the lights are woefully underpowered and the bulbs create uneven color casts. The tripod is flimsy. I guess I need to buy other lights at a local home builder's store ;-)

I might try to move StockXpert to my 4M bucket and see if it helps with sales

@sharply_done: maybe it makes sense for IS but for me it's only 50 photos accepted in 3 months and sales are almost null :-)
