Subscription royalties also go up by 20% (though rather confusingly there they have put the new rate AFTER the old one, instead of the other way round at is is for credit sales.
Is that an increase or is it non exclusive/exclusive?

If it is some wierd april fools joke I'm sure it won't win any friends.
It is, I just tried to download an image to see. It won't be popular especially with countries that don't know what April Fool's Day is. Although they are then offering 10% discount.

http://www.dreamstime.com/thread_26512The last paragraph I assume is an April Fools joke!!!! "Considering the anniversary as well as price increase, we've decided to offer all our imagery free of charge for the day. Designers or simple members will be able to download any images for free, promoting the site to their business partners, associates or friends. This is available only for a 24 hour window on April 1st 2011 and should allow everyone to adjust to the new price structure." ETA: I've just seen on their facebook page that it isn't a joke but it is the Editors choice images being offered free. Does this mean that we won't get paid for them.?? I have some of my best sellers as editors choice and am not at all happy if it means that everybody is getting them free and I don't get paid for them!! Can anybody make sense of what this means? "A new experimental feature, "Choose your price", gets launched today for a limited number of customers. This feature is available for downloads via lightboxes and is consequently targeting volume buyers. Designers will be allowed to set their own pricing for the files they prepare to download. The feature is using an elaborated algorithm that ensures that contributors receive royalties above minimum required (credit-based). The price that is set by the designer will be split between the agency and the contributors according to each file's level and per our royalties chart."

If you look at Fotolia's website and scroll down a bit, there is a paragraph about "Annual limit subscription plans". The royalties for one of those for an emerald contributor (like Lisa) are stated to be 2.5 Credits. I have absolutely no idea what these plans are and neither had any of those sales yet.
I'm emerald but I'm pretty sure that I have never had one of those. I hope it is something new and is going to become a regular thing.

Because at DT it is an occasional genuine mistake by the buyer with IS it was a huge security breach which they should have stopped.

Is this one of the images that was stolen in the recent credit card scam? It may be that those images are now being sold somewhere else and the magazine bought it innocently thinking that it was a legitimate sale.
In that case wouldn't it have still registered as a 'sale' and wouldn't the OP have been notified and indeed noticed when the sale came through and/or was removed from earnings. It is a Vetta image after all.
Duh, of course.

I agree with a lot of what you say but the best match tweak never messes it up for 'most' contributors. Usually as many people benefit from it as lose out over it. Maybe this time non exclusives have lost out more to exclusives but in general some not most people lose out.

I also noticed a large Stockfresh banner on failblog.org, a site I check almost daily. Nice to see this and hopefully sales will pick up finally!
I see Dreamstime adverts there everytime I go to the site which like yourself is practically daily

In defense of IS, why should they investigate when it isn't clear who sold the image? You need to contact the people and ask them who sold them the image and then get the site concerned involved.

Lady luck on my Shutterstock downloads- that explains why I am getting sales so much higher than the rest. So to be fair I really need to have around 1,000 in each of the companies which I can understand being a statistician myself. Just seems so weird that 12 photos would generate 15 downloads in 15 days compared to the rest.
The thing is with ss unless they are outstanding images they will stop selling after the first weeks or two whereas on other sites the images will often go on to make more money.

I sell at least as many level 4 and 5 images at Dreamstime as I do level 1 and 2 images. When I became emerald at fotolia and doubled my prices the sales weren't affected negatively in any way. I sold more ELs at fotolia at 200$ as when they were 10$. Conclusion,Price isn't terribly important to most buyers.

ME too, but I figured it was me or something not being reloaded or cache or... I'll keep trying. If I find an answer I'll be back.
Thanks, I didn't want to write anything on the IS forums as it seems to work for everybody else and I didn't want to look stupid!! Maybe it doesn't like independents

I have those two buttons on the earnings page but when I press them they don't do anything. Is the script 'out of order' again or am i just slow figuring things out?
same here. It has moved the buttons to the top of the page but they don't do anything when I click them. Most other things have changed but it hasn't moved the last dl column to the far right either.
