Gotcha! But I still don't regret leaving Storyblocks and don't contribute to others.
I wonder if the unlimited subscription sites will, in the long run, compromise my earnings from P5, Adobe, GI, SS and so on.
GI, what stock is this?
I think Getty Istock

overly simplistic -- if you're running a business and your concerns are "not all about money and percentage", you're not going to be in business very long! as a business i choose WS because they save my business time & energy & my net income is higher
I understand your answer and my opinion was of course only my point of view
What I would like to underline is that in general, in any business, in middle and long term, you have to be ready to change your mind, to react to external move, to adapt your offer to the market. Giving all to an external agent is big limitation on any future change. Of course is up to you to define your business but I can't remember a good business story with someone that gives all the business choices to someone else. I wasn't talking simply about money and percentage, not at all! This is only my opinion
I give my opinion too: I was only few months at wirestock and closed my account for: -quite poor keywording -not my name on the images -no way to delete any image from my account. I don't miss them.
Lety me support you . my image are waiting for ,,approval,, from WS over 2-3 months /my acceptance is above 95% Thank You =NO . I upload to all my agency manually and I am happy This is not about money for service it was about wasting money for nothing. I prefer support poor homeless person on street

Looking at January numbers, the lowest video sale at SS was 1$.
Edit: Lowest sale at level 1 was 1.05$, but I have several sales of 1$ at level 2.
All my level 1 sub sales were at 0.25, now I am at level 2, haven't had any sales yet.
I hope to know the lowest sub sales from other sites such as GI, Adobe and P5 non-exclusive. I could be wrong, but it seems that SS has the lowest sub price. Is it correct?
My lowest video royalties from Shutterstock - $0.25 (in any level) Getty Images - $0.06 Adobe Stock - $2.38 Pond5 - $1.92 (non exclusive) Dreamstime - $ 3.14 Depositphotos - $2.70
Depressing but lets go to west ...or south?

I think DT might have a 100% royalty day about once per year - figure out when it is and put it on your calendar and then buy yourself up to $100 and cash out.
Or upload a lot more images that sell, or just write it off.
I agree that 100$ is a bit of a high amount with the rate of sales these days, and they should pay whatever balance remains when you close the account, but this is the way it has been at DT for as long as I can remember, so at least it isn't because they moved the goalposts.
If is good year with lot of sun and rain and no snow maybe twice

Shutterstock is dead . Almost all sales are 0.10 cents per sale.
I am not sure is dead, it was my #2 for 2022, maybe dead for some contributors, but no dead for sure

I sold 49 dollars on subscription, but they haven't paid for 3 months. I get paid with payoneer from other sites, but motionelements doesn't pay. For 2 months, support has not even replied to my e-mail. Now I think it's SCAM.
No problem with paying, sending to me every month

Been to Germany a few weeks ago, there are recycling machines at the super market, you insert one empty plastic bottle and out comes 25 cents, euro 25 cents.
Yes, but it's a deposit system. When you buy a drink in a bottle you have to pay the 25 cents on top fo the price of the drink. So you are only getting back money you had to pay before.
Do You think it is different in US ?

Could Mavic 3 be an alternative for both drones? It depends where you want to travel to, but for example here in Europe it just got the C1 certification label and you don't need to keep distance from people any more, which makes flying much simpler. But it still has to be registered..
It's the registration that's causing the issue for my upcoming trip. The Australian Aviation website won't let me register in advance, and also insists that uploaded ID has to be certified by a solicitor before upload or that I get my ID certified on arrival. The Mini is small enough that it doesn't require registration, so makes travelling with a drone much easier, (provided the quality is there).
actually even drones under 250g has to be registred because of the camera....
Yes, If you want sold footage or photo you must be registered in USA I am not sure if in every state because is commercial use. For personal purposes probably no.

What is going on at Adobe. My entire last submission was rejected for "quality issues". Every single image.
Let it be noted that every single image was accepted at multiple other sites. This happened several months ago and after re-submission every single image got accepted on the second attempt.
Let it be noted my wife also shoots from a smartphone and all her images are accepted, I on the other hand shoot with a top end Canon camera with top end lenses and they are all rejected?
I have already 16 rejected in January, pretty unusual, they are accepted everywhere, couple is sold at same day in SS, one is Illustrative editorial issue but is not a problem with accepting same image as cut out. Hmm No time for reseeding in this business, take it or leave it

I'm selling video pretty much in all major agencies. And all across the board almost no sales this January so far.
Anyone else encountered this??
3 small sale so far, one on Adobe and two on SSTK

I would say you absolutely do. Just think for a moment about all those important features that are visible and eminently recognizable - eyes, hairline, eyebrows, ears, not to mention other parts of the body.
Debates about this sort of thing happened many times - someone whose image was taken from behind but with lots of detail, for example - and the answer was almost always that if the person was the primary subject of the image, you need a model release.
If the person is in the distance, out of focus, not the main subject of the image and masked, then you're probably fine. But I doubt that's what you were asking about
I agree with You Jo Ann

I want to sell my video on this site by subscription. Who already has such experience, what kind of income is there, normal or not worth wasting time?
Small seller for me, easy to upload, with small portfolio around 370 photos and video cca $30.00 in 2022, payment without any problems.
370 photos and videos are not enough. Have you thought about downloading the entire portfolio?
Not really sure about that at this moment

I am curious if anyone is up scaling images for stock? I have some smaller images and I was thinking about this.
My first DSLR was a Fuji Finepix S2. As far i remember it was a 6 MP DSLR upscaled to 12MP in camera. Was some kind of marketing gag. I don't use the Fuji S2 anymore, but i still use an 12MP full frame DSLR. Great quality especially for long exposure landscape photography. in my experience real 12 MP images still sell well. I can process 12 MP Raw files like crazy and still get over 90% of my 12 MP images accepted. I have to process Raw files of my 45MP DSLR more carefully. I even think that i could use only 12MP for microstock. Maybe i would sell something less but not much less. At macro stock things are different, they want at least 12 MP, but less than 24MP doesn't make much sense there. At microstock i wouldn't bother about uploading 12MP files.
I am using for last year my Sony A7SIII and it was really great with accepting but sometimes I need something larger. I agree, definitely no problem for micro stock.
