The real test is if you actually sell anything methinks. I have been looking hard at getting into the bigger priced sites like Alamy and Moodboard, but what is the point if you do not sell anything?
I guess I have 300 or so images on DT and SS which I believe are lesser quality than what I produce now. SS used to bring me $140 a month, but lately it is $75.

I have started deleting my photos from Fotolia. Slow at everything they are. Worst is their attitude when you bring up an issue. I am now waiting 14 days to get a payment. All I get back is some half smart remark.
So delete is the key ....

I got a giggle from the idea of shooting a series of photos. Not sure of anyone else, but everytime I try to submit these I get "too many of the same subject" rejections.

Unless they have a great business plan where they actually go out and door knock designers, how can any site survive without advertising on the web?

Me too. Superfast reviews = superfast rejections for me.

My internet connection gives me so much grief. And the worst bit is I am locked into this mob for another 12 months on contract.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me who accepts the images on CD?
It would be so much better if I could post them.

I thought they were sold. I still get a sale about once every millenium. I was hoping the new buyers might have plans.

I am hearing in Australia they may have worked out a deal with someone like GE Money to do a No Repayments for 3 years deal. So you can buy it, and as long as you pay the money back before 3 years, there will be no interest.

For those of us who are not doing so well at DT.
I have spurts where I do well, and then it dies.
I figure that tastes have changed with their buyers. The people who are doing well are either aware of what people want, or they are simply naturally gifted.
For me, the bigger I have built my portfolio, the less I seem to sell.
I am looking at changing the types of images I put there.

Still waiting. So you guys got through the payment cycle? They are a pain in the a**. I find them and 123rf almost impossible to deal with.
Every time I want to get paid I have to reload my ID.
I asked Fotolia for a payout, and then DT 5 days later. DT paid me last Thursday. I am still "pending" with Fotolia.

Hey what a great thread. It has so much currency for me, I am waiting for this month's $$$ to buy a Manfrotto monopod for everyday use.
Reason being: I am getting older, and my hands shake too much.
I was reading a wedding photographer forum where lots of people were suggesting that using a monopod re-corrects bad habits that have been learned over time. So that even when you do not use the monopod, your posture, and camera holding technique is improved.

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah the lighting looks way to thick for my liking. Mind you, some of them on their site are just plain silly.
So much for Photo-Journalism ethics in not changing images.
And the electricity analysis is interesting.

We had big storms last night. Do you think this lightning has had some post processing done?

Well my apologies for the mistake over the auto keywording. I was wrong of course. Yes, CanStockPhoto had a tool, and pixmac does the work. Different.
Yeah, I am waiting for my acceptance too photohome. Just loaded 25 or so and will try them out.

Dragon, I have been paid before from 123rf, but each time I am due for a payment I have to go back and reload my ID card. Then you wait until their payment run the next month.
