You are right. My last batch was accepted 100% at the big 4 but 123rf refused 3 of them.

DT is also about to break all records and SS is getting back to 'the good old days' so I must just have what people are looking for at the moment. Hope it lasts

Thanks to you and everyone else that answered. Sales are still good but a bit more like normal the last few days.

I can log in but they seem to be making changes to the site. All of the stats have disappeared from the earnings page.

Adobe Stock / Re: Sales this month at Fotolia« on: March 08, 2010, 04:17 »
I doubled my prices about a year ago which virtually doubled my earnings but this is a more recent thing. This last week has been amazing with my earnings 50% higher than normal and if this carries on it will be my Bme anywhere by a huge amount on my previous BME.
Doubling your prices will clearly impact your revenue for the month. I've been running with my prices at max for the past 3 months ($5-$40). The results have been pretty interesting. 1631

Thanks all for the feedback. Sounds like I just had a lucky week rather than a new trend. Although the lucky run is still going as I made as much there yesterday as I do on some week days.

Is anybody else seeing a huge rise in sales at Fotolia this month? Fotolia has been my best earner since I was able to double my prices but this month is amazing. I have already this month earnt 50% of what I earnt last month at SS or IS. I was wondering if sales are especially good there at the moment or if they have had a change of their search engine and I struck lucky..

Why would we want to encourage people to see the potential of this business? All that does is create more competition.

12 of my last 50 have been $2 and $3 sales which is a much higher ratio than I am used to getting.
I have never gotten a lot of the $2 and $3 sales, but I am getting about the same as always. Two out of my last 50 sales. 1635
Bigstock.com / Re: Increase in BigStock downloads lately?« on: February 25, 2010, 02:45 »
Although dls are generally down there for me, I have held steady on earnings because of an increase in 2$ and 3$ commissions.

Didn't they stop paying the 2c recently? There is a lot of talk about people flagging for the 2c but I doubt there are many if anybody that does it for the money. I have flagged quite a few images because it really annoys me when totally irrelevant images come up before mine that are keyworded properly and also I would be very annoyed if I was a buyer and had to sort through all the rubbish to get to images that fitted my search.

He was a bit naughty at times and managed to upset some people but I found him hilarious. I think that the Miz more than anybody was responisble for me ruining my keyboard by spitting coffee onto it

Nice, I don't think that I have ever reached 50$ from an EL sale at IS.
Actually if you go further with them you can sell ELs for 200 credits giving you over 70$ per EL which is the most I get from any site. The biggest I've had at IS was a 250 credit EL which netted me $135. Amounts vary as the per-credit price varies, and not all ELs are 250 credits...YMMV 1641

My decision will also ultimately be based on earnings and I will only move when I'm sure that I can make as much money as an IS exclusive as I do as an independent. The gap between the 2 is getting smaller and smaller.

If it was 4x I would be there like a shot but at 3x I will have to give it a lot of thought.
I also have a lot of loyalty to Dreamstime so I will wait and see how Fotolia pan out as they are stll consistently my best earner and I really hope that they come up with a better offer for us. Thanks for spending the time to do the numbers for us. Diamond - Multiply existing earnings by 3X 1644

When I received that warning on facebook the first thing I did was do a search for that group only to find that it doesn't exist so thought it was a bit pointless for me to post about a non-existent group.

Adobe Stock / Re: Increase in Credit Value at Fotolia?« on: February 02, 2010, 03:35 »
Same here. The only way I can afford to delete my portfolio is if I went exclusive with IS. I am going to have to sit and do the math now that things have changed at IS as it seems that exclusives get a great deal there.
Strange, FT is my top performer... 1646
Newbie Discussion / Re: Models Required for Success?« on: February 01, 2010, 11:58 »
Agreed but I think that it should read 'Good' people shots as I have seen many portfolios full of average people shots that rarely sell.
Overall, it seems People Shots and Good Vectors seem to be the "Money". Anything else is hit or miss. JMO. 1647
General Stock Discussion / Re: Last day of the month« on: January 31, 2010, 03:43 »
I'm also nearly 200$ down on December but up on last January which was my worst month last year. For some reason January is always worse than December and I have very little Christmas images.
