Thanks! It was a really good advice. John responded quickly. For some reason their public emails don't work. Or maybe it's my ISP spam filter. But everything is settled now.
I think their webmaster one had a full mailbox when I first tried, maybe that is still the case. Glad you got it sorted

I removed my portfolio there not long ago, and simply emailed John at [email protected] and he responded very quickly and professionally. Hope that helps

Even CanStockPhoto, a small site with virtually no major work done on it in years can read the meta-data out of video's uploaded there.
I am simply amazed the big guys haven't bothered with that yet.

Yikes over 5 weeks? Glad I found this thread, i've been waiting for about 10 days and thought I was being hard done by.
Turns out I've got a MUCH longer wait ahead of me...
Pond5 were so quick at reviews 12months ago - whats happened...
I presume a they are getting a lot more uploads than a year ago. Then there's 4k, the files are much bigger, so it must take them longer to review.
Yeah perhaps you are correct, Sharpshot. Footage does seem to be gaining momentum now. I've also been waiting ages at 123RF, and Shutterstock were about 8 or 10 days for review too.

check their forums, there is a brief explanation from Collis (the CEO) that its basically an experiment to see if they should make massive changes to PhotoDune.
Shame it wasn't communicated to photographers first.

For me it has always been anything over 300mb will fail at some point between 300-400mb uploading. These same files upload fine to all other agencies.
I have contacted support multiple times, with no resolution. This has been going on for a year or more.
Frustrating to say the least.

For anyone who still has a portfolio at Yaymicro, I would suggest that you check you API settings. I just checked mine and found that I had automatically been opted in to about four new partners.
Yep, if you inspect the page code its coming from Yay. Mine are there too. Just opted out of all partners at Yay, thanks for the heads up emjaysmith And yes, that logo....lost for words..

Little bit nervous about this one. So many unanswered questions, really hope they provide more information very soon.

I look forward to the fix Peter. Such a nice site refresh should be accompanied by great looking previews. Hope you manage to get to it soon.

Are people actually earning enough each month there for it to be on the poll? I would genuinely be interested to know.
I was considering trying it, but no watermarks was a big concern.

I too would prefer a proper contributor account section, over a cvs download. And yes Lee, seeing sales coming in is keeping me interested Just a Q though - each month gives a month total for earnings - but is there any way to see how much in total earnings there are currently? As in, what is my accumulated total earnings? Would be good to know, as it will be hard to monitor when we reach the $100 threshold and expect payment etc. Cheers

I don't know if this happened after the redesign, but have the previews always been blurry at Stockfresh? The zoom looks sharp but the standard view looks pretty bad because of the blur.
Yeah, they're definitely blurry. Hope they can fix that.
I asked this on their forum. Peter said they are still using the old small previews. They will be regenerating new previews for all existing images at some point soon.

Yep, got one as well. What a terrible subject line to wake up to - especially since the "from" field only gives a persons name, not the company.
About to tell them to close my account. Hasn't been worth my time.

Hey Lee,
Just wondering what the progress is on those images that were approved but didn't get watermarked? I had a bunch approved, but still only got 4 online for sale due to this issue.
Cheers
We'll be getting to those this week. We won't forget.
Awesome, thanks Lee, looking forward to seeing them back online again.

Thanks Lee, I notice all my newly approved files have disappeared at the moment, as you said. Look forward to the fix going live.

Hey Lee, just had a bunch of images approved over the last 2 days, but it seems they don't have watermarks?
Also, just to make your day, a few of the titles were changed too!
But the bigger issue is the missing watermark - could you take a look?

Just to chime in Lee, I have had 2 images approved that have definitely had the titles and description data changed by the reviewer. I'm looking at the IPTC as I write this, and can see the difference.
It didn't fuss me too much, as it was the specific place details that were changed to something much more generic. But it was changed.
Leave it with me. Heads will roll!
Watch out Canva Work Experience kid!

It's different in each country. Consult your tax lawyer? Here I think I can claim 40% back. Up to 60,000THB. Never bothered with it.
I think, but may be wrong, that two very different scenarios apply wrt the question raised in this thread:
1. In the first instance there is the question of whether tax paid to a foreign govt (e.g. the USA) can be offset against local taxes. i.e. whether our own govts will agree not to tax us again on money which the USA has already taxed. That is certainly a local question. Clearly it is unlikely that there would be any way of making up the difference between a lower rate and the US 30% rate. And those who do not have to pay local income taxes but who are now subject to the 30% US tax would have nothing to gain from this.
This question applies equally to those who will have to pay the full 30% and those in countries with agreements resulting in an effective withholding rate which is anything > zero %.
2. There is also the separate question around the potential possibility of submitting a US tax return and claiming back (from the USA) any money which falls under whatever earnings thresholds may apply.
This bold part is more the question I was wondering about. Thanks for your responses so far
