I'm wondering if anybody has ever "moved" a complete Symbiostock site to a different host. Just thinking out loud right now but any advice would be appreciated. I've had these outages at Bluehost every week since I've signed up with them in June. I'm tired of getting my search engine ranking and business reputation damaged by people who don't care about stable foundations.

Response from BH support: Hello,
We certainly apologize for the inconvenience, there is currently an issue with the server itself. Our administrators are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. This may be a server issue, or it may be an issue caused by another user hosted on the server. Because you are in a shared hosting environment, this means that any user on any server can potentially cause issues with the server itself. These issues can effect performance for other users on the same server. If this is indeed the cause, we work to find these users that are causing the problems and deactivate them. Our administrators work to resolve these issues as they are brought to our attention, please bear with us, we appreciate your patience.
How did we do? Please help us improve the support that we offer you by filling out this online survey: ...
Thank you, Susan

Basically you sacrifice what could be a lot of visual aid to customers, to get a HUGE advantage in SEO.
But you'll only get the HUGE advantage in SEO when you add MORE unique content (like description) to the page, don't you? Having the widgets (similar images) and keywords etc is basically a way to add content without the need to get more creative as a writer, isn't it?

The meta data still shows microstock
I voted Yes
Wow! I forgot that was there. Thanks
Enabling the breadcrumbs in Yoast SEO will also still show "Royalty Free Images" which is why I had to disable this feature.

I'm having the same problem. (BlueHost, 2.5.5 worked fine. After upgrade web and ftp don't work anymore)
How exactly do I "toggle"back to 2.5.5? Confused....
Anyone have a link to the 2.5.5 download?
Leo gave the solution to this problem: Very very simple solution - which I never mentioned -
Toggle the theme.
Activate some default or other theme like 2012, etc. Then reactivate the theme/child-theme your using. All issues will be solved.
EDIT: This action runs the installer, which will set up that folder.

yeah, forgot to mention to Leo and I keep editing that
68 line of header.php from <h1 class="assistive-text.... to <div...
That menu doesn't really need the H1
Awesome, thanks a lot. That took care of the menu. Any idea where to change the Featured Images widget <h1> tag? I've found and changed <h1> tags in sidebar.php but it didn't change the widget.

I would check the CSS files in the CSS directory first.
If it's not in there, then it's probably in the code somewhere.
If you are using Google Chrome, you can left-click and then choose Inspect Element to try and identify where it is coming from. Firefox also has a similar feature. I'm sure IE also has something similar, but I rarely use it.
I'm not sure if you understood my request. The CSS file defines how the <h1> tag looks like. I need to know which function or file tells the Featured Images widget to put the headline into an <h1> tag. It's probably super simple but I'm stuck.

I've used the Bing SEO checker and it gives me a "High Severity Issue" message of redundant <h1> tags on my homepage. Obviously Bing would like to see only one <h1> headline to clearly identify the main content of the page.
Locating the <h1> tags is not hard, one is in the "Featured Images" widget, another one in the "Menu" for instance. But my question is where does the page pull the information to place the Featured Images caption into an <h1> tag from so I can change it into an <h2 or h3> there?

The YOAST sitemap has only 1 image indexed. I'm wondering how that's even possible.

Still stuck and barely moving forward. 59 out of 1244 images indexed.

I have the same error on Dreamhost Looks like I need to go Bluehost too :|
I'm on Bluehost and it happens there, too. But it only happens occasionally and to me it's not a big deal to trash the "half" image and upload it again.

My Bluehost hosted website site has been down again for over an hour today. Had downtimes last week and the week before. Just talked to them on the phone and only heard apologies but no real solution. Said the server is ok but the network is down. Anybody else with constant hosting issues at Bluehost?

I have just launched my stock site so impossible to tell at this point. However, the people that pin my images wud never ever have paid for them anyway, so I see it as free advertizing. My photos on pintrest are watermarked, description states its a stock photo and the link to my website is right under the image. Everything counts toward my google ranking and better exposure on google image search. The more people that gets exposed to my photos and my website, the better. Nobody is making money from my photos on pintrest, so i don't see a problem. Ive seen my photos from flickr all over pintrest for a long time already and those photos still sell well on microstock.
I just started too, about two weeks ago but I can see people coming from Facebook and Twitter (referrer at site stats). That's why I'm asking if Pinterest is really giving you traffic and exposure. And like I sad, the problem is that you lose control over your image. On Facebook, Twitter, G+ etc you can anytime delete your image if you change your mind. On Pinterest you can't. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to convince you. Just trying to figure out if benefits weigh out the risks.

Its all comes down to SEO and how Google rank our images in searches, influenced by twitter, pintrest, G+ and other social outlets. If people wanna pin my watermarked photos with the link to my stock site and telling google to rank it higher in the process, they are very welcome. Each to their own.
Do you see real traffic back to your site coming from Pinterest? I think the problem with Pinterest is that your image will be copied and uploaded to a Pinterest server. Which means you're completely losing control of your image. And it's actually a copyright violation if you didn't agree to have your image "pinned".

Absolutely. Both, Facebook and Twitter. Google+ will follow soon. I believe you can't ignore the social platforms anymore if you'd like to be successful.

I deleted now both sitemaps and then started the "Generate sitemap" process and it created two sitemaps again. I think there's something not right.

Maybe Google got confused reading the original sitemap file pointing to the new one and the actual new one. Actually, I'm a little confused now which one I should submit to Google. Obviously submitting both didn't work very well so far.

I am new to SEO may be not the right person to reply your question, but I noticed your sitemap is symbiostock_image_sitemap_1.xml do you submit the correct sitemap?
How did you find out the filename of my sitemap? I installed the very first version of the plugin which created a full image sitemap at symbiostock_image_sitemap.xml. A few days later an update of the plugin was published which created the symbiostock_image_sitemap_1.xml file sitemap while having the original symbiostock_image_sitemap.xml file pointing to the new one. To make sure I'm not missing anything I submitted both sitemap files to Google Webmaster tools.

I must said this is a plugin you can't miss it.
I am so impressed by the speed of my images being indexed, I purchased this plugin today around my local time 1.00pm and immediately submitted sitemap to google webmaster tool, now 11.30pm I have total of 767 images and indexed 418 images. I submitted yoast images sitemap around two months, so far only 223 images indexed.
Thanks Leo!
I must be doing something wrong. I've been using the plugin since it is available for purchase and have only 50 out of 1072 images indexed so far.
howmany of those are also with the agencies? that seems to be the biggest determining factor -
I guess about 90%. I changed title and/or description at most them though.

You can give discounts now - then just add a text box saying what you are offering and how long for?
Yeah, I know but that doesn't work well. First of all, new images will not catch the discount when you process and publish them. You'd have to fill the discount percentage into every new image manually. Or run an "apply settings to all existing images" every day after uploading/editing new images. Second, I don't always want to give a general discount for all and everybody. I'd like to keep the discount/coupon option for specials, like "Sign up" or "Like" or "Share" to receive a discount coupon code etc. Or as an incentive when a potential customer contacts me about a particular image. I could answer him and then give him a discount of 10% when he orders the image within 24 hours. You know like grabbing the customer by the horns and don't let him think twice.
