That is such sad news. His humour made me spit tea over my keyboard many a time. I will really miss him in these forums. Condolences to his family.

The prices change depending on the success of the image.

Dreamstime.com / Re: Sell Rights?« on: September 30, 2008, 01:04 »
I only put images up for 'sell the rights' when they are exclusive to DT. The few that I have got I have got at 6 or 7 thousand dollars.

Shutterstock.com / Re: How much did you earn with Shutterstock 'On Demand' in September?« on: September 29, 2008, 02:29 »
ODs have been amazing this month. I made nearly 90$ on OD sales alone and 7$ on back up cds when the normal is 2 - 3$. Earnings in general are well down though and I think it is the worst month this year for earnings.

StockXpert.com / Re: Subsciptions everywhere« on: September 25, 2008, 08:38 »
I'm seeing quite a lot of subs but the credit sales are just as high as before.
My SS sales have gone down considerably so I think that maybe some of the buyers have moved from SS to StockXpert 2134
Dreamstime.com / Re: DT is ahead of IS« on: September 25, 2008, 01:51 »
Yes I mean RPD
![]() I get sub. sales but am getting a really high percentage of level 4 and 5 sales which are giving me between 2 and 5 dollars each depending on size. There seems to be a higher percentage of credit sales this month in comparison to other months. Yesterday for instance amongst my sales were a 5.01, 4.91,4.17 and 4.14$ and only 20% of my sales were sub sales. Although DT isn't my best earner it is the site that I have most respect for because of their fairness to us contributors. On IS I have gone from a good day being about 80 dls. to a good day being 30 dls. The quality of my work has improved and my portfolio is much bigger but it's almost impossible for a non-exclusive to compete.

SS has maintained first place for most of this year
Ft has knocked IS out of 2nd place for the last few months DT(with RPM of 1.45$) for the first time ever is in 3rd place beating IS IS StockXpert BS 123 A year or 2 ago I would never have believed that IS which was always a clear winner would get down to 4th place. At IS I've gone from averaging over 40 dls a day to about 20 dls a day with about double the amount of images and much higher quality images. 2136
Adobe Stock / Re: accepted images at Fotolia« on: September 23, 2008, 01:28 »
My acceptance rate at Fotolia is well over 90% they hardly ever reject anythig but at IS it's harder and harder to get image accepted.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Time to cross out next ones« on: September 20, 2008, 03:24 »
Exactly what I did. I have kept 123rf and BigStock because they bring me in about 80 - 90 $ a month each with very little effort but stopped uploading to Crestock after only uploading a 10th of my portfolio because it is nearly all 25c sales. I thought about pulling them in case people are buying my images there instead of one of the sites that pay more but there are so few sales there that I won't bother just yet.
I never upload to unproven sites but unfortunately I believed Yuri's recommendation but now I just think that he had an ulterior motive in reccomending them. I concentrated on the top 5 sites until I had 1,000 images. Then I tried BigStock, 123rf and crestock. They were much better than I thought. I think they just need a lot of images. I have stopped with crestock but only because they haven't raised commissions. 2139
StockXpert.com / Re: First sales from photos.com« on: September 19, 2008, 01:40 »
I also had a couple from Jupiter for the first time yesterday so I think that Lisa is probably right. I haven't found that all the sub sales are lowering the amount of credit sales at all.

123RF / Re: Why is included 123rf into the "Big 6"« on: September 14, 2008, 16:50 »
Same here, I make over 3k a month on 7 sites and I've never made over 100$ a month on either 123rf or bigstockphoto.

iStockPhoto.com / Re: best match have changed« on: September 13, 2008, 02:18 »
Their best match search makes no sense at all. I have an image that has well over 1000 dls in just over a year and hasstayed on the first page since it's been uploaded. It is now at the bottom of page 6 of a search with 100 images per page. At least half of the images that come before it have less than 10 dls. How can that be best match? If anybody wants to see a newest search then they can sort by newest, best match should be exactly what it says.
