I have just looked at my last 100 uploads to IS and DT. Every single image has had dls on Dt but on Is only 23 of my images have had a dl. Same images uploaded at about the same time.

I've started off really well this month with 2 Ods each day for first 3 days (about 15% of my total earnings.

I've gone from average last year of over 1000 dls a month to average this year about 600 dls a month even though I am producing much better images now than I was last year. Luckily the pricing has gone up so that my earnings haven't dropped at the same rate. It's pretty dishearteining, I used to always upload first to IS but now I upload last to them when I get round to it. It seems you need to be an exclusive photographer to really do well there now.

It means that they would have been approved but they ask you to upload 10 completely different images next time.

It's up to you but personally as I am willing to sell an image for 30c then I would also be willing to sell an EL at 6.6$. I would rather be getting the amount that I get now that I am at higher ranking but to me it's all money in the bank. This is just my opinion and I know that some people will disagree with me.

I've just had my first photos.com sale today but I opted in too late on the first day so it took about a week for my images to get into the search

I opted out when we had all the controversy over photos.com and noticed higher earnings but now that I have opted back in the sales have stayed high so I think that a lot of it is just coincidence. Well, I initially opted in to subscriptions, then I opted out and that is when my downloads dropped dramatically for August. I opted back in to subs and now it is like I have to start all over again with the views and the ranking? Or at least it appears that way.

I follow the rules for keywording and always do catagories and Fotolia has gradually crept up into 2nd place where it has stayed for the last 3 months. One month almost catching up with SS even though I have 50% more images on SS.

I agree with Sean, I don't know of a site that wouldn't allow that.

I find that I am getting even more now selling them at 150$ than when I had them priced at 10$. Of course my portfolio is bigger than it was then so there is more chance of a sale but I never notice a decrease in EL sales when I put the prices up. If it really upsets you to sell them at that price then don't allow the sale of Els until you are able to put the price up .

I have had a good month at StockXpert. 3rd Bme. 123 started off really slow but caught up at the end and I'm only 10$ down on last month with 3 days to go to catch up.

Those shots are beautiful, they must be crazy for rejecting them.

It looks to me like it is set up so that the buyer purchases the licence which then gives him the rights to print an image for his own use. So the company are actually selling the printing not the image in itself. Don't know if this is legal or if they have found a loophole.

! or 2 a month but one month I sold 5 I haven't found any difference in how many I sell each time I put the prices up so I would reccomend anybody to put them at the maximum permitted. how often do you sell them? I am silver (almost gold), but I set t 49. and I sell about 1-2 per month.

I have mine set at 150$ and get nearly 60$ per EL. That is way more than I get anywhere else.

I always re-submit if I think the image has good selling potential and 80 - 90 % of the time they are approved the second time.

Yes, I've had 5 or 6 this month, I usually average about 2 a month. I've had 14 OD sales so far which gives me over 30$ extra as a large percentage of them were for 2.48$
Hey... is anyone else experiencing increase EL's on SS.

I don't see how a shot like that could have been composed differently, it wasn't exactly a cooperative model. Fotolia seems to have a mindset....sent them this image...

Rejected for overabundant photo catagory...so I sent them a message...that "If I search for seagull and chip I don't get any images, how can it be an overabundant photo??"
Reply..."We don't need this image"
Oh well, your funeral...haven't had a rejection from any other site.
Cheers

bad composition due to croping / framing. I would reject it as well. Simply bad composition.

These are my thoughts on the subject. I like the Dreamstime type where you have a certain theme. A month is long enough for a deadline. I would rather receive money a prize than a prize that you might not even want or need. Just the winner to have prize with a few token prizes for the runners up. The community should never be the judges, it is too open to abuse.

I don't really understand what it is you want translated, is it just those few sentences shown above?

I think that there are going to be a lot of unhappy buyers that have bought a subsciption only to find that most of the decent images on StockXpert are suddenly opted out of subscription sales.

OK all you clever people, what does that mean?

This was announced by an admin in the StockXpert forums about an hour ago.
'It is coming but they are in the US, so it might be a little late if you're in Europe. You won't be disappointed though!'
So it sounds like it is going to be good news.
